    I was never asked for anything. I had the print out of the iterinary- went to the airport on the day of my flight- paid the taxes, went to the check in area-- showed my print out- my passport, was given the real ticket with seat # and checked the bags and went to the waiting area for my flight.. I don't see why your husband won't be able to get you a flight.
