  1. HI there people, let me explain the situation..I have a friend who is a US citizen, He has met a russian woman here in the states and she is currently on a K1 fiancee visa for a millionaire in Hawaii. She has said he was a drunk and did not want to marry him as she has finally met him. So she left that guy and has now moved in with my friend..and is talking about getting a visa to stay with him! My questions are is that possible? or does it have to be re-done as a new visa for them? I find it very weird they met once and she has moved in and i could see possible red flags for the immigration. Could anyone shed some light?

    Thanks

  2. Hi There, Juts a few niggling questions in the back off my head...Do i need to provide a copy of the Co-Sponsors passport when i finally get to the interview?... (31st May soooo excited!!) aaaaaand i had my police check done on the 9th Dec 2010, i am hoping it will stil be valid? Also i noticed on my police certificate it has my old passport number on it! i have since changed my passport to my married name and the numbers are not the same, would this be a problem? its the new digitial passport so im hoping they can just check it without any hassle! Panicking a lil as everything has to go right i cannot do another 7 months!!

  3. Hi There, Just a few questions if anyone can help...Im due to go for my interview and from reading on this website some people have been asked for a copy of the co-sponsors Birth certificate or passport? Is this true?! and also to take another 2 passport style photos...someone actually said these cost £36?! I paid £5 for my other photos..im a little lost at that price ! Just wanted to check and double check i have all the correct info !! If anyone can help please advise! Thanks!!

  4. Id imagine now is the time! The interview wont be scheduled until they get the medical results!

Call the Knightsbridge Doctors (020 7589 8965) and ask!

Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

Hey just to let you know, I had my interview booked before having the medical ....i plan to have it a few weeks before im due to attend.

  5. Hey there, I was wondering if anyone has a interview coming or has already had one? We are at the NVC stage and had a RFE (for pay stubs from the hubbie) these have been sent, but when we call the NVC they are yet to off put them into their system!! Its driving us crazy!! Does anyone know if this would mean mayba May Interview at the London Consulate or are we more then likely going to have to wait even longer!!AAhhh these Visa stuff can make you go crazy

  6. Certified copies are copies or extracts that can only be issued and certified by the issuing authority.

For example, a certified true copy of your birth certificate would only be available from the registry of births and deaths (that's what they call it here, may be different in your country).

Similarly, a certified copy of your marriage certificate would come from the registry of marriages.

As Amy and Nick said, a certified copy is NOT a photocopy or a notarized photocopy.

AAAAHHH haha thanks guys im already on it!!

  7. Hi There, We are currently on the NVC stage, we are using a immigration lawyer and they are asking me to send my original birth certificate, Marriage certificate and passport? Is this correct? I have read that it is ok to send in copies and then provide the originals at the time off the interview....I hate to say but i have lost a lil faith in our immigration lawyer and am also nervous off not recieving my documents back before the interview!

If anyone has been going through this or has completed this part of the journey please help!

  8.

Thanks Guys it means alot...I too have been on this forum..not knowing what too do (until the good hearted people here point you in the right direction!), waiting for what seems like forever (it does drive you insane!!) and i personally think that any good news shared on this forum will definately benefit people. Whether you've just started your journey or are in the middle good luck! this is one off the hardest things Ive ever done, and I cant wait for everyone to eventually be with the people they love and miss.

  9. I agree, not really fair but the latest records of aprovals show that's not really a fast lane towards the NVC for them!:)Not even one got NVC# yet!;) Hopefully they will realize that before senting sep.oct. fillers off to the NVC they will first get done w/jun.july.aug. However this case with "post decision activity" does not mean aproved, Trust me! Me and a few others (july/aug) have the same and STILL waiting , this case has to take a no. :)

The best thing you should do is call them every other day but don't stop @ the first pers. ask to talk to a supervisor(officer)!! get an info pass online(you do quilify since you are over the 5 months)write to your congressman/woman, senator.

read carefully! "post decision activity" does NOT really mean "aproved" isn't it?!It's either one or the other ;) The notice (NOA2) must simply say: your petiton # is "aproved" than you wait to be fwd. to the NVC! Hopefully after the July/Aug fillers ;) good luck!

Hi There!! No It def said APPROVED I recieved a e-mail stating this GOOD LUCK on ur journey though hun !!

  10. Hello, I have been back in the UK for a month now...My husband has applied for the I130 since i have been back. My question/problem is that since i have been back i have had huge problems trying to get employment. If things dont change soon i may have to go on some sort off welfare?! I really don't want to though!!! Does anyone know if this is going to harm my application? or has anyone been in the same situation? Thanks

  11. The wait does seem to be a little long right now. I went through this a year ago and was lucky to have a very short wait. It is always possible that they will suddenly put lots of staff onto the task of clearing I-130 petitions, in which case the wait may be shorter again. You can but hope! But be prepared for a long wait.

You do have to go to London for the medical, http://www.visamedicals.info/us.asp You can't do this until you have your case number, which you will get once your petition is approved. As soon as you get this you can book an appointment. Right now you just want to check you have all your vaccinations, and visit your local GP if you need your tetanus updated or haven't had the MMR. You also need to find a co-sponsor if your husband doesn't earn enough to sponsor you. Other than that, just try to relax and make the most of your last months in the UK! Eat some pasties!

Thanks sooo much !! Well our journey has begun..im sure i will be on here with other questions and queries..!
