  1. Congratz Al and Gich! :star:

It's finally time for Gich to start packing!

Has Gich completed the CFO seminar? She will need the CFO sticker in her passport in order to leave the Philippines.

Thanks! She'll do the CFO seminar on Monday... by the way, which place would you recommend the best place to do the seminar? we still couldn't decide whether to take it at St. Mary's or PRISM? and on one of the requirements is to bring a copy of the visa.. how can she make a copy of it if it's in the envelope which you're not suppose to open?

  2. My fiancee just had her interview today at the U.S. Embassy Manila and thank goodness we got approved! :) but one more thing, she was talking to someone while waiting at the embassy and advised her to take a CFO seminar when she recieves her passport and visa. Does she really need to take that before she leaves the Philippines on a K1 visa?

  3. Yes she can. If you are interested, I could give you the number of a reliable taxi service I used when I still lived there, Trends Taxi. They will pick her up at the terminal and take her where she needs to go. She just has to add Php 50 to the fare on the meter. They're very reliable guys and trustworthy, been using their services since I had surgery back in 2003. 821-4685 and 823-4303.

ok thanks a lot! do you still remember how much would be the total cost from the terminal to st. lukes? like a rough estimate maybe?

  4. for me EDSA the best and less traffic when ur at EDSA already( better to take a cab rather than a bus much more convenient and more safer.) take a cab going to LRT station on way to monumento then take the train and stop at UN ave. then there was a line of pedicab downstairs infront of jollibee u must across the street to take the pedicab. then tell to the pedicab driver to bring u at stlukes clinic at JBocobo st. they know that already u pay Php20 take note:be careful in taking a cab going to LRT they sometimes make an arrangement or contract from u because some cab/taxi drivers are taking advantage for those who doesnt know were they going especially when they know u are new to the city and ask for u to have contract i mean assign by how much are u going to pay without plug down rate.:D GODBLESS

can you just take the taxi straight to St. Luke's Extension clinic, as soon as you get off at the terminal? I think it's better that way other than commuting from one to another...

  5. good day..I just arrived in San Francisco from Manila..I flew with PAL(Philippine Airlines)..it's a nice airline..my fiance booked my ticket through Expedia(you can also book thru PAL's website) and i just printed out the itinerary and that's the one I presented at NAIA Terminal 2 airport during my departure...I had a non-stop flight(12:30 hours)..they serve good food as well...btw, the Customs and Immigration Officers @ SFO International Airport were so nice..no hassle...God bless on her trip...

wow! congratulations! i'm happy to hear the good news!

thanks for the info's everybody... does anyone else got their ticket other than the internet?

  6. Thanks! hopefully we'll be one of those lucky ones to finish within the first half of the day... :)

We thought the wait would be short on the last day but we actually wound up waiting between 9am and 6pm for the results.

So if I were you...be prepared to wait the whole day...no idea how long your stuff will take to be released. It depends on what time you had your x-ray taken and which batch of doctors and radiologists will review your x-ray. There are like 2 or 3 sessions daily, and if yours was turned in late, you have to wait. Other things may have happened during the medical which can cause a delay.

I think the luckier applicants were able to finish within half a day on the second day...am sure you will hear about their experience too. :)
