Seems like there is a "gap" between notice of when you get "in line" to the notice of your appointment!

Question I recieved
On November 5, 2015, we started the interview scheduling process for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. We will send you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
But I have not recieved anything by mail / text? what is next?

I did ours online just paid 10 for the state that you were living to CYA.
-
While waiting my husband want to go to school / training - is he allowed to?
-
We finally got our receipts today - MSC (485-765 & 130)
Cannot see them on the USCIS website.
-
Well I got the receipts today for all of them.
We will see how things progress from here. In the meantime please keep your negative comments to yourself.
Thank you.

You are wrong. Please look up other threads on this. A K1 isn't "required" to file the I-130 after more than 2 years marriage, but it is in their best interest to do so for several reasons discussed in many many threads around VJ.
We have been married almost 2 months ;o)

All I can say is typical attorney. I bet they cashed both checks damm buggers. Hope it works out darl
sorry it was the USCIS that cashed the check not the atty.
-
I just talked to my atty and he said that he generally advises to do the I130 also since the USCIS is so messed up.
the USCIS cashed both checks.
OH well we will see what happens... am numb to know what is going to happen next!

If Form I-130 is being filed together with Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, submit both forms with the correct fees to the USCIS Chicago Lockbox. (See Filing Chart for address.)
-
it states that K1approved I129f is to send to the Chicago lock box.
-
Oh yay C&P - fellow Aussies
Love it - good luck
Thx CareBear! still waiting on NOA1

Changed to AOS pending. He came over on the K1 in which we got married. Filed both the 485 and 130 because we have not been married for 2 years.
Sorry for the confusion.

I am wondering the same thing I have not received the NOA 1 yet after filing on Jan 26
-
We filed the 485 and 130 on Jan 26 (the date FEDEX notification of delivery) in which I have not received the NOA1 yet. how long does it normally take and what should I expect?

How long did it take you to get your passport/ visa in the mail?
-
I was wondering if anyone can speak to the finer points of overstaying. I am a Canadian who overstayed once in the US last year but nothing came of it as I have entered the US twice since without problems. Now I am applying for a Spouse Visa from within the US and on the I-130 they just ask for my last entrance to the US. My concern is in the interview if they ask me if I have overstayed, what should I say?? And what are the consequences of telling the truth if any??
Make sure you put a time line together so that you can prove that you did not overstay.
-
How soon after the interview did you get your visa in the mail? Any suggestions so that I can try to figure out when I can book his trip home?
Thank you.
-
how did everyone put their packet 3 together - the same format as you sent in the I-129 packet? with all the supplemental documents?

My husband had his interview which I attended - 28 minutes of nail biting.
He passed the test but there were two things that we had to do:
1. Tax transcripts from 2011-2014 (these were included in our October packet) did they loose them??? Then they wanted Colorado also to show we did not owe them anything.
2. Proof of Marriage - are we still living together.. they wanted our mortgage statements and common bills... which again was included in the prior packet. They did not want pictures (we just traveled for Christmas to see his sister in London, traveled on our anniversary and went to Paris for the new year).
I had all the information and resent directly to the officer. We are awaiting final approval for his Oath ceremony.
So frustrating!
