  1. I had my i 864 showing 5 ppl.. my three girls and my husband and myself but my oldest son is over 18 and not included per the guidelines they wanted verfification he is not living with me and 18 even tho all the documentation we submitted showed that already .. so we had a lawyer draw up a letter simplifying the info they accepted that and put him in name checks.

THanks... Also what do you know about immunizations? My wife is going for her medical this week and she doesn't have immunization records or anything. Will not having hep B immunization evidence hold her back as the Hep B series shots takes like 6 months to complete. Will they let her enter the country.. she is only 20 years old? Thanks

  2. Islamabad has been giving ap for more females lately... but stay optimistic im sure she will be fine. AP is done for various reasons...we've been on ap since june 15th when my husband interviewed...they asked for another document which they had but they wanted it clarified so we sent that it took about 5 weeks to review then on july 25th the co called me and said our case was fine and he is now being put into name checks so thats where we are right now. DOS knows nothing and theyve told us that the embassy somtimes doesnt update thier info so they still have it as a review at embassy. We did evthing we could by taking literally pounds of evidence and photos but they didnt look at any of it. Just hope for the best and everything will be fine. I just pray this ap ends soon... its really heartbreaking to be apart and want so desperately to be together.

Good luck... just make sure she has everything you can think of to prove your relationship and any back up documents in case they dont have it in their files. Have her prepared to answer many questions but expect only a few. Inshallah she won't be in ap!

Do you mind if I ask but what was that document that they asked that they already had just to clarify? Thannks

  3. hello.. my interview is on 2oth sept n i have heard that now alot of females r also going through an AP so i am very worried now, can anyone please guide me how to avoid geting an AP. My husband have send me all the documents required. plus i also want to know will i be needing a new police certifcate as the one i send to NVC was till 4th july 2011.. i just wana be sure coz getting a new police certificate means going through all the pain again..well i hope not.please give me interview prep tips i'll be very thankful.

Hello. I would like to also ask the same questions. My wife's interview is on Sept. 30 in the islamabad insallah. Can anyone give me tips for her so she may avoid AP. Rizvi- would you mind telling me how old people who get put on AP usually are either male or female? My wife is 20 and i am staying optimistic that for her since she is so young that AP won't be necessary. I think AP is mostly for background checking especially if its someone older and has had multiple addresses or police certificates. Anyone else with advice...? Thanks

  4. Asalamualaikum,

Thanks for your reply. I hope your husband gets here ASAP inshAllah. I just had a quick question regarding the DS230 packet as you are in similar situation as me. Besides the police reports, did your husband had to get an original Birth Certificate from NADRA or did he have a KMC birth certificate? I have double checked online regarding what civil documents are required but so far i am having her send her original Birth Certificate, copy of passport, copy of her shinakhti (CNIC) card, completed DS230 form, original police certificates. As you have already been approved, is there anything else besides the mentioned docs you think would be important to include in the DS230 packet? Thanks.

  5. Hello,

I am a US citizen who is petitioning for his wife who is in Pakistan. We are currently in the process of getting the paperwork ready for the DS230 and all the legal documents. I was told that after the interview at the Islamabad embassy, some people have been handed a "administrative processing" letter where they take your passport and dont give you a timeline when to expect the passport back. I have seen some people going through months and not getting their passports back. I have also heard about this happening more with male beneficiaries. Does anyone know if my wife will also have to go through all this? Thank you.

  6. Hello,

I am filling out form DS 230 for my wife who is in Pakistan to bring to the US. On her passport and ID cards her first name has the letter "a" instead of the letter "e" (which is what i have used on her g325 and 1-130 forms). So should I use the name spelling as it appears on her passport and ID card or the original one that I used on her 1-130/g325 forms? Will it be a big problem? Also, on the DS230 form it asks for the people who will be accompanying the immigrant to the US including the spouse. If I am the spouse who is her sponsor, am I included in that? Thank you

  7. Hello,

I am the applicant who applied for his spouse who is in Pakistan. After receiving NOA#2, I got an email from nvcinquiry@state.gov sending me an invoice for the Immigration visa application processing fee and it stated that I had been assigned as an agent. The wierd thing about this is that my wife never signed or sent the DS-3032 (Choice of Address and Agent) form, so how did I (the petitioner) get assigned as the agent? After I got the initial letter with the NVC case number assigned, these first emails started coming to me. How did this happen? i m worried. thanks

  8. Thanks for the replies. I looked over the EZguide that you directed me towards. My wife does not have a passport yet nor does she have the police certificates yet. Should I now go ahead and ask her to get these 2 things to speed up the process? I was unsuccessful in finding info about how much time it will take through this NVC process, so once the petition is approved and forwarded to the NVC, how much time does it usually take to get an interview provided that the beneficiary is in Pakistan? Thanks

  9. Hello,

So I checked my USCIS status yesterday and it said that my 1-130 petition got approved. Now I was reading the guides for the 1-130 and it said that NOA2 will be sent to me and a few weeks later a packet of forms will be sent to my wife overseas. My question is that between now and when I receive the NOA2 in the mail, what can I or should I do to speed up the process through the NVC? Thank you very much.

  10. Hello,

I am a US citizen and submitted a I-130 form for my wife in Pakistan 2 months ago. I received a Notice of Action letter few days after and it stated that I-130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was received on 10/06/2010. I just need an idea of how long it will take for her documents to get approved? In other words, how long will it take for her to enter the US? I just need an estimate so I can make plans. Thanks.

  11. Salamualaikum,

If you fellow pakistanis can help me out:

I am filling out the G325 biogrpahical form for my wife who is in Pakistan for her to join me here in the US (im a citizen). Her address goes like this apt. number, gulistan-e-johar, karachi, Pakistan. The form asks for pronvince/state, city and then country. I am not sure which part of that address is the province/state and which the city. Should i put karachi or gulistane johar as the city? thanks

  12. Just a have a few quick questions about the G352A biographic form:

    1. If the address of my wife is Gulshani-e-iqbal, karachi, Pakistan, so will the city be Gulshan-e-Iqbal or will it be Karachi? What about province/state?

    2. Also I am going to have my wife sign it back in Pakistan and return it, so how may copies do you guys recommend that I get from her? How many copies of the passport style photos should I request?

    3. If my wife has been a student the whole time, do you I write down it as "unemployed (student)" under the employment box? What would I state as the start date?

    Thanks.
