In May 1st week ,my husband were informed that his administrative processing is complete(Took almost 10 month to finished). They asked for the passport.he submit his passport and this is 6th week after that , no response from the embassy.VFS status shows as :YOUR PASSPORT IS IN PROCESS AT US CONSULATE/EMBASSY".I contacted the DOS and they told me that case is still uner AP.I am very confused about this situation.Does any one know if it takes longer like 6 weeks or more? Any ideas or examples of how long people have had to wait? However I couldnt find any case where they asked for passports and later rejected the application.

My husband had his interview last year on 13 JULY 2010.Case was in AP/AR.On 6 MAY 11 asked to submit passport with 221(g)letter.Didnt asked any other document.Passport submitted on 9 MAY 11.VFS status for passport tracking is "Your Passport is under process at U.S Embassy/Consulate."

I am flying next week to back home but not sure...should i fly or wait till i hear somethhing from embasy.Is anyone having any idea?please advice on same.I will appriciate.
