Aliznely,

Actually, I had received the letter before I had my fingerprints and photos... though I think it is the other way around normally. But I just checked on-line and it is said that they received my CRI89 request of removal of a conditional resident status on November 7 and they are porcessing it...?
Since I messed up my son's application and had to re-file his AOS more than 3 months after mine I think I am creating so much confusion in the system that things started to go bacwards for me...
-
Yes, you got it right...
the date of decision is 10/10/2006 and it reads:"Your request for the removal of the conditional basis of your permanent resident status has been approved. You are deemed to be a lawful permanent resident of the United States as of the date of your original admission or adjustment of status."
On 11/8 I received a notice for my appointment at the local application support center in order to take my photograph and collect other data needed to produce my new Alien Registration Receipt Card....(biometrics?)

Ok. so I got my approval letter 3 months ago and my required biometrics 2 months ago, and after that nothing....
Where is my permanent green card? How long does it take to get the actual card?
Is it lost in the mail ?
It only took 20 days to get the conditional one....

thanks sweetgirl- we already moved once-we rented a bigger place before the second baby was born, so I know the procedure. since we plan to buy a house, I do not know were are we going to move until we find the house, the sellers accept our offer and we close on the house -that will be the end of June(I hope). We did not plan to move right now-but as you noticed in my first post we're forced too....fortunately is the same area so is the same district office....

in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
Posted
I have no problems with my co-workers -well at least they stoped complaining about my spelling errors-, but in my case the irony is that I have to work -on the phone - with my American born clients and their credit issues...
I had some issues - some people really gave me a hard time because of my English.
I had the surprise to have some clients like me better because of my accent - they did belong to a minority...
I also had the surpise to have some people acknowledge that , in spite of doubting my skills at the begining because of my accent, they had to admit I did a great job ...
People are prejudiced, and unfortunately there are areas in US were they had no/ or little contact with immigrants - so they just base evrything on whatever the main trend might be- and right now with all the negative press related to the illegal immigration -the main trend is immigrants are not that good.
PS: I do have a co-worker that gets irritated every time when one of our clients assumes I am from some part of the world I have no relation with - like India.
