  1. My fiance is from the UK and he is preparing his documents to take to the interview at the embassy. The birth certificate is one of the documents he needs to bring but his birth certificate is called a 'Certified Copy of an Entry'. It shows the place he was born, district, name, date, place of birth, details about the parents, address and date of registration. I can't find anything about it online. Is the 'Certified Copy of an Entry' the same as a birth certificate and if not is it sufficient to take to the interview?

Thanks in advance for any help you are able to give.

  2. I emailed the Embassy today, explaining my situation with work & such, they have just replied back with the news that they have scheduled me an interview date for the 28th of September =)

So it doesn't need the medical results just how ever long it takes them to get it into the system. I will await my letter

2 questions if you don't mind me jumping on your thread..

    1. How did you email the embassy?

    2. How do people know that the Packet 3 was logged in? We're waiting on the interview date from London embassy also.

  3. Hello,

I'm the American citizen and my fiance is living in the United Kingdom. We've already gotten the confirmations from nvc that the info was forwarded to the London embassy. My fiance has already sent in all the forms they asked and a letter stating he is ready for the interview. So now we're waiting but we've read that we should hear back with an interview date in 1-2 weeks and it's been 3 weeks. We can't really afford to call unless anyone can say they have experience with calling and they are quick about it.. So any other suggestions?

My second question is that we've been reading about fees and we keep reading different things in different places. Can anyone say for sure what my fiance will have to pay at the London embassy to process the fiance visa?

    Thanks

    Ashley
