I'd email them and inquire, it couldn't hurt. :-)

I was able to get it in the format it states (amount of deposits in the past year) at my bank. Usually the people that work there off to the side in the little offices will sit down with you and write a letter. It takes a little while for them to go through all of the info..in some instances they won't have access to the information for a few days. I'd go in and ask them for what you need. The man that helped me had written those kinds of letters before..Also include pay stubs (I'm giving my fiance more than he probably needs), past 3 years of income tax transcripts which take about 10 days to get delivered to you from the IRS..I think you only need 1 year, I have to look back on the paper I don't have it in front of me..so double check that or someone can correct me.

I agree, call them. they will also be able to tell you when they sent it to the UK..mine took about a week after NOA2 to get to the NVC..I was a CSC filer, that may make a difference.

?
OH thanks for that..that's interesting since the directions for the I-134 say it doesn't need to be notarized, I'll be sure I ask though. :-)
oh sorry that didn't reply right..just about the I-134 needing to be notarized.

Make sure your friend is very clear that if your fiance was ever to go on unemployment/social security then the government could take this money from your friend at some point (although I really have no idea how often that actually happens). It's a pretty long term commitment legally. Odds are that won't be happening (going on unemployment), but one just never knows!

Thanks a bunch! yep read the guides several times in the past, just wanted to double check since the lady was misinformed, not surprising with the USCIS tho
-
From everything I read I thought I fill out the I-134..however I went to the local USCIS office to ask a question about that and the lady said no, I have to fill out the I-864..but I thought that was for people that were already married? I made sure to tell her we weren't married yet? Can someone confirm this one way or the other? Thanks!!

yep, just confirming you don't need US police certificates!

1. I was wondering if it is permissible for me to print my pay stubs from offline to give my fiance to take to the interview? Or do you think I need to go to my office and get like the originals, which I'm not even sure they have, I'll call them later today. All the necessary information is on the online ones, and it's just a lot easier. (Sorry probably a dumb question, but I want to make sure everything is perfect!)
2. I think I saw this question before, but I can't find it..Does it matter how long you wait before scheduling an interview.I was thinking not until June-ish. My fiance still needs to get a police clearance from Spain which his embassy in Venezuela does not do so he has to have a friend on his behalf request one in Spain for him. So I'm guessing this could take a little while. (Gosh, I hope it's even retrievable, sometimes they aren't!)
Thanks!

Yay! Congrats!!

Yay! congrats!!

For passport clearance do you mean the same as a police clearance? I think it wouldn't matter where you went..although others on here may know better than I..My fiance has to jump through a few hoops to get his from a country he is no longer living in..Directions I saw say it has to be from the country; I never saw anything specifying cities..Someone please correct me if needed!

Aww you guys waiting, might have seen my other post, I just got my NOA2..it felt like it would never come, but it will soon, hang in there!! I had put in a service request, dunno if that had anything to do with it.I know how frustrating it is and annoying to see all the approvals when you are so close! Just remember your fiance is worth the wait!
-
That's amazing! congrats!!
-
Congrats! just got ours also!
-
Yay! we got our NOA2!! I was so surprised to see it early this morning! Thanks VJ for your support through the process thus far..It may be a lil while til the interview since my fiance has to still get a police report from Spain where he used to live. For everyone still waiting, it will come soon, I promise!
-
Good luck!! welcome to this crazy journey! hopefully yours is speedy!
-
@Eli Miguel- wow you have your interview already? that's awesome! Good luck!
@SLCPLP10--don't worry, I'm still waiting too!
HOw do you paste someone's exact message so it's easier to refer to it? (sorry I'm forum impaired lol)

Hello fellow VJers!
I was wondering if anyone knows if a service request actually accomplishes anything. Or do they notify you regarding the service request at all? I called Monday, about 5 months and a few days after my NOA1 (CSC) and it was a breeze to get it..She just stated yes you are clearly outside the normal processing time and we can put in a service request and to call back in 30 days if I haven't heard anything and gave me a number..So I did some searching, does that actually DO anything, or is a service request merely to patronize us?

Ya it's really just a ####### shoot lol. While VSC is stil behind CSC, they have been picking up the pace lately compared to what it's been like (well this past week basically) and CSC had a bit of a lull at the end of last week. Ya I wouldn't risk it.

Yes, ER Team is correct, it is my understanding they do not accept media, like recordings or CDs, or videos. Also a lot of embassies during the interview make you leave cell phones and things like that in your car/at home.

I think I'm about to email my congressman today..did you try congressman or just senator? I'm just wondering "will contact him as soon as the administrative processing is complete" are they just talking about the USCIS processing, essentially telling you just to wait til they are done, and who is "him" they are referring to..This kinda sounds like a canned responses of sorts..unless they really are looking into it for you..hmm good luck!!
Now married, time to tackle the AOS

Congratulations on your wedding!! :-) Just adding, that this is also my understanding that there is no deadline..(we have procrastinated on this and plan on getting everything out in the next few weeks..but yes it's always ideal to get things started asap after you get married.
