Interview approved. They gave us the letter in the office, and told us that if we needed to travel we can just show up at the office with proof of travel reservation and we will get a stamp to travel, before we receive the green card.
21months till ROC.
The lady was nice, a little late for which she apologized. She asked if my husband had anything bad and he responded that he farts alot. LOL
for the ROC, they said send in the birth certificate of the newborn w/ both names and you wont have an interview. YAHOO

Nice! I guess they're moving along then. You're a few days ahead of me in filing with Boston. Did you see any status changes or touches online prior to getting your letter?
My 485/130 hasn't been touched since the day after biometrics and a phone call to the help desk asking if the app had been forwarded to the Boston office yielded nothing.
no update on the USCIS website. In fact was expecting the letter in January.

Got my EAD in the mail Saturday Nov6/2010 and my Green Card in the mail yesterday!
SSN got changed today so that "limitations" of having a work permit stamp comes off it
WOOT!
congrats such a relief.

Interview scheduled for DEC 13th.

Hi MM/EV. Did you get the '5 months' number from the Boston office?
Was it 5 months from NOA or from biometrics?
Anyone with Boston as their local office get transferred?
Anyone get an interview letter?
I've had neither. I guess no news is good news at this stage....
NOPE. The last time we called inquiring about the EAD, they told us that Boston is taking about 5months for processing AOS's.
let's sit and wait...
-
received the EAD card in the mail yayyyy!!!
Congratulations. we also received ours on 10/30

Oh wouah under 90 days. When I called on the 19, i was told that Boston is taking 5months for I 485.
At least we will get the EAD soon

I got my Green Card in the mail today.
Done with USCIS for 2 years.
Congratulations how many days did it take?
Seems like alot of people got notices on 10.20.10 how many actually already received their card?
So far in August filers we have 2 Green Cards approved (correct me if I'm wrong)
People please update your timeline if possible.

Received greencard in the mail today!
Congratulations
-
Card production ordered for us too.

I think it depends on how busy your local ASC office is. I received my hardcopy NOA1 on a Thursday and received the
biometrics appt letter just a few days later on Monday, however, there are some July filers who live in the Dallas area who are still waiting for their biometrics letter because their ASC office is backed up.
thank you
-
Question how do you check your status online?
-
we received our NOA for biometrics on 9/20. Yeah. we are not doing a walk in.
-
what is on noa2?
-
so If i understand correctly, you filed for your mother as a USC?
If YES
If so, your mother should get a welcome letter in the mail, then the green card will arrive. No need to file anything else.
Make sure the address matches what you filed, otherwise they will return it.
if you have more question just PM me. Just finished getting my mother here too.
-
Questions and it may be irrelevant. Can you help someone adjust their status on an F1 visa?
-
Nothing since I got the text with the MSC #, no updates on the uscis website. They can't even find my reference
-
The reason I didn't apply for him earlier is that I was naive and didn't think it was important since he was able to work. I didn't know it was suc a big issue or anything about the process at all. If I had known I would have done it sooner.
I see. but he knew he didn't have authorization to work!
If you are a U.S Citizen, and he has no criminal hx you should be fine.

Can someone clear up how a WALK IN biometrics works? I just feel like in Boston, they might be hard cuz they are so many immigrants here.
Aah - the walk-in biometrics was successful! I am so glad it was done 22 days before the scheduled appointment. The Pomona ACS was a breeze to go through, and the staff was very friendly.
Congrats. Things are moving along.
I know we will get an interview. In the initial package, I already submitted a few things
-lease
-Insurance
-joint account
and different bills showing the same address (clearly National Grid won't put 2 names on the bill)
-
Thank you for all the answers. I was just wondering. I know my mom didn't need an interview once she entered the country. They just mailed the card.
-
Checked my mail a couple of minutes ago and i received a hard-copy on the NOA1 & a $70 check i had sent for the I-864, guess they didn't need it...Hope you get your Biometric letter soon...Keep me updated
The I-864 states that the state department will send you a separate bill for the $70. so don't blow the money yet.
-
if you have been married for 2 years why did you wait this long?
-
For K-1's some say 50% but I think quite a bit more like 75-80% recently. I had actually started a topic on transfers a few weeks ago here. According to the people who responded to that poll (48 votes) 83% were transferred.
Thank you
