  1. Thanks for this topic.

I have a thyroid problem and had undergone total thyroidectomy. Having a hard time getting records from old doctors as i have changed several times due to health insurance accreditation. Though it's not a communicable disease, does my diagnosis of papillary carcinoma will require me to produce a medical cert?

Also, my derivatives have developmental&behavioral delays. Autism to be precise. I believe this is not a mental illness as it is described as developmental (Google also). For those who have a similar situation, please enlighten me. Medical cert from developmental pediatrician may not be enough to fully and accurately describe the children's dev status as therapists does the one on one sesions while the doctor only sees us for 15mins once or twice a year and does not have time reading the therapists' notes.

  2. Hi. I'm not yet near the finish line for my F2B with 2 derivatives but I just want to know. What MONTHS (dates) are the peak season to travel to US (California)?

Im looking at April2015 interview if things go well ; and I understand i should purchase tix after i get hold of our visa. Buying for the 3 of us (w/ kids 5&6yo) I wanted to get off peak and the cheapest as much as possible.

I know of the 6-mo visa validity but wouldnt want to wait that long. Wants May or June travel if still off peak. And to get cheaper rates booking should be done by how many months before?

    Appreciate any help.

  3. We also tried to go the route of a driver's license, but she was told that she has to own a car. Again, another road block to someone that's poor. I'm not sure if this one is a law on the books there or not...

    .

There's no such thing as this as far as I know. I was able to get a student 's license then eventually a driver license without owning a vehicle.

Tell her to inquire from the right people and avoid the "fixers".

  4. PD is july2004. I just found out my CENOMAR is missing so this caused another delay. I applied for a new one which is not ready for release until next week which I cant wait. Then suddenly the missing CENOMARY showed up! haha. but the date is nearing its expiry which is about 2weeks and a few days before the 6th month. I decided to send it right away TODAY and not wait for the new certificate. Would it be accepted? Sent it through FedEx but I think it'll fall on the weekend so most probably they'll receive it by Monday.

I hope the CENOMAR is fine. If not, they'll ask me to submit (to follow) the most recent one, right?

  5. EXPIRY DATE.

From the time NVC sent a letter saying beneficiary can NOW start the processing, does it have 1 year expiration from the date the notice was given?

I kknow AOS fee doesnt have an expiry but VISA fee does and that's one year.

I hope somebody will make this clear for me as I havent submitted the civil docs and it's been a year and a few days from the moment I received a notice from NVC to start processing. visa fee was paid 9 months ago.

All I need to submit are the civil docs then I'm good and just wait for medical unless they'll require additional docs right?

  6. the NSO certificates you previously submitted, when did you apply or receive it from NSO? I am also curious as to how they could say it's almost fake.

my reason for asking is I have submitted an old NSO Birth Certificate (printed 2010) and I am thinking if the embassy will also consider it as "fake".

  7. Hello everyone, I am aware of the specifications of how the 2x2 photos should be taken and printed but what I am confused of is the NUMBER of photographs to be submitted.

In the email from NVC it said to submit 2 photos. Requirements vary on the embassy and so somewhere in the USEM Manila website, I've read that says something about submitting 3 photos.

    Kindly enlighten me please.

    THank you.

  8. Pardon my asking (if this has been discussed before) what is the difference between NO DEROGATORY RECORD and NO RECORD ON FILE on the NBI Clearance. Just curious, my old clearances stated no derogatory record but when I got the latest today it says no record on file.

Also, I could not seem to see nor feel the DRY SEAL STAMP. The releasing lady must have been inefficient forgetting to make that stamp. Too bad I noticed it when I reached the office. Is this a big deal for USEM?

  9. Thanks and great move. I do hope too that you'll get it done on time. May I ask how to apply for correction? Just in case I'll need it for my boys. Thanks!

yes we do have the exact issue with your kid but the difference is when i checked out my BC last year i found out i dont have a middle name.

well what i did is i still got a passport of my child with the name as said in his BC but i filed out a petition for correction.. I've been planning that i will just show the consul the new BC of my child i just hope that the corrrection wont take that much time to process..

Well i wish everything works for the both of us . goodluck..

  10. Beneficiaries/principal applicants do not submit AOS forms. Might be a misprint. Call NVC.

My husband was an F2B beneficiary too with 3 derivative children. He didn't submit his own ITR or AOS. It was his dad (petitioner) who submitted the AOS forms and docs together with his mom because they are married filing jointly on the tax returns.

Thanks. Keeping my fingers crossed I did right on ignoring the letter. :clock::)

  11. Hi!I did it like this.Courtesy of user Hubby and wifey

Sample Your name it Jane Marie Santillan Smith .... when you are single Jane Marie Tan Santillan.. you put Other Name is Surname is Santillan and the Given Name is Jane Marie Tan... hope that helps.. God Bless

Hi :) NOTED. Did you also notice the surname examples given in the actual form? Because that's what confused me.

May I know how the OTHERS did it?

  12. This is what the instruction said.

The letter was addressed to the petitioner/sponsor.

Another page bears the name of her Co-Sponsor and the instructions to submit this and that.

Now this page bears my name, the principal applicant asking me to submit the same form and financial evidence.

This is what confused me since I am aware this form is not supposed to be submitted by the applicant. UNLESS there is an exception or other case where this is applicable. That I do not know.

  13. yes, i'm the applicant/beneficiary.

that's what i told my mom too, but she insisted NVC's letter asked me to submit too. I stuck with what I believe only after a few months I began to doubt it. So Im hoping anybody here may also have the same dilemma as mine.

Im thinking maybe they wanted to know my capacity because I have 2 derivatives to bring and probably my petitioner and her co-sponsor meets the requirement but only just a little above the limit. If that's the case, my ITR wouldnt help as much because my salary here in the philippines if compared to US wage rates is nothing. right?

  14. thank you for your replies. no we're not on that stage yet but better to be informed early. so now i can relax a bit.

    BIG HELP :)

i've asked in another thread about the question... if I have been exposed with somebody who has TB.

My boys had primary complex 3 years ago. Should I answer yes?

And is primary complex considered a full blown TB ?

  15. 3 years ago, my 2 sons contacted primary complex and underwent 6mos+ medication. no follow-up xray was required by their pediatrician. up to now when I ask their doctor if they need xray she'd simply say nothing to worry, they're cured.

me on the other hand DID NOT get infected, xrays and sputum from local hospital showed negative.

during the MEDICAL EXAM ... if I will be asked if I contacted anybody that had TB... what will I answer?

if my children were asked if they had TB ... is primary complex considered a full blown TB?

in DS260 I answered NO when asked if my boys HAVE a communicable disease. my idea was, at this present time I believe they dont have it because they were cured accdg to doctor. Did I do the right thing?

  16. Honestly Im having a hard time taming my 4&5yo boys all by myself. How is it like during medical exam? I promise I cannot do it going alone with 2 of them in tow.

HELP on what to do. They said during interview at USEM one can bring a companion. How about for medical exam? And is there a separate processing or procedure because definitely children cant take the long wait and the long lines.

    argggh.
