Good luck to you guys!!! Three words describe why they did this to us... "because they can." They are making money and it really just depends on the consular.. their mood...they have the power to do whatever. I don't understand it but I have my congressmen on standby if they try this again.

There's nothing to appeal.. it expired. If you go to the Dept. of State website, they even state there's really nothing that can be done unless the embassy grants an extension.

Hi Melz, when my fiance' left his interview... they gave him nothing but his passport and pictures back and said they would contact me. However, he should've been given a slip (various colors mean various things) letting us know why the visa wasn't granted, if we were being denied, or if they needed more information. We got NOTHING!! So.. make sure your fiance requests so...
