  1. Who is the person in nigeria, wife or husband?. U S consulate will contact the person in nigeria on the phone or the e-mail of the person in nigeria, not the person in U S.

  2. You may receive a phone call or an e-mail from the U S consulate any time from july, by next end of june you may send an e-mail to the U S consulate requesting the status of your interview if they have received your documents,they will reply you.

  3. What is the phone number your husband used as his number when he filled out the form I130, that is the number they will use to get in touch with him or they may send to him an e-mail.When was the time you receive a letter telling you your petition is with NVC?.

  4. I was in Nigeria when they called, no they didn't get in touch with my husband, they called me directly on my mobile phone.

  5. The U S Consulate Lagos will send to you the interview date.

  6. The U S Consulate Lagos called me on the phone and gave me the appointed date, i told them to send the information to my e-mail which they did and i printed it out and took it along with me to the interview.

  11. My husband got in touch with the congressman, the uscis says it will take 180 days to review it but uptil now we haven't heard anything from them

That happened to me in 2008,the consular officer told me it was not a bonafide relationship and sent my documents back to uscis, after 1yr uscis came and told me my petition has expired then my husband came down and got married to me and went and filed for I130 petition, now i went for interview for that one in 2010 and now the consular office told me not a bonafide marriage

    They sent it back

    Hi K-cha, i read through ur write up and u seem to have a similar case like mines, what i would advice u do is to go through to the congressman or the senator.
