      said my husband have to wait for the 180days to be complete. But my husband have hired a lawyer and the lawyer told my husband to wait until he receives a letter from the uscis then we can go from there, it is not easy at all, but with God all things are possible.

      That was the letter we received but uptil now we are still waiting to hear from them, but my husband have been calling the uscis and the congressman's man, but the uscis said it will take 180days to review it and tomorrow the 17th of march will make it 180days that is 6months my husband will call uscis again tomorrow to find out what's happening, when my husband called the congressman's office to find out if they have heard anything from the uscis, the congressman's office sai...

      After uscis received the documents from the u s consulate, they sent us a letter saying On September 17, 2010, a USCIS office received this case from the State Department with a request that we review it. We will notify you when we complete our review, or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

      My husband got in touch with the congressman, the uscis says it will take 180 days to review it but uptil now we haven't heard anything from them

      That happened to me in 2008,the consular officer told me it was not a bonafide relationship and sent my documents back to uscis, after 1yr uscis came and told me my petition has expired then my husband came down and got married to me and went and filed for I130 petition, now i went for interview for that one in 2010 and now the consular office told me not a bonafide marriage

      They sent it back

    I was denied a K1 in 2009 becuase 'i was already married to my husband according to nigeria laws and not eligible for a fiancee visa'. Now we are processing the CR-1 and at the NVC stage. We have done our court wedding, have a beautiful daughter who has already been issued a CRBA and US passport. What can i do to ensure i am not denied a 2nd time?
