OOps sorry, I never really got packet 3 either, I just emailed a copy of the DS230 proactively.... cause I heard others did this with a quicker response. After that they emailed me the interview letter, medical instructions and forms and the interview check list.
-
I received his info via email from the consulate after I emailed the DS230 (part 1). If you email me at shbb19702@yahoo.com I can forward you the info they sent me.

His blue slip was to provide court transcripts for an arrest that was dismissed by the courts. The interviewer only confirmed that it was thrown out, asked if there were any more encounters with the law and told him to go pay DHL....

When I emailed the Jamaican embassy regarding our packet 3 I was obviously using the incorrect email because they never answered me. Once I resent it to consularkingst@state.gov I received a response within 24 hours. They also provided my interview date via email before they mailed packet 3.

My Fiance had his Blue sheet interview on Sept. 3 and he was approved!!! After 1 1/2 years finally we can start the next chapter in our lives. Thanks to all who post on this site to make others experiences helpful......

I knew the questions would happen (when is he coming, etc). So I simply havent't told anyone the process has even been started. It is hard to hold in the anticipation but it alleviated a lot of explanations.

During our K1 interview we got a Blue Slip for an arrest. I sent the embassy an email requesting a sooner date if they had any cancellations, etc. My Jamaican man said "I dont think they will do it". Well to my surprise they sent me an email and gave me a sooner date (Sept. 3rd was Sept. 20). I know he should be prepared to answer any and all questions, but do they normally just look and question the new evidence requested???

Prior to our appointment on August 10, 2010 the Jamaica embassy called my Fiance and informed him that his police certificate had to be dated after June 14, 2010. You should be good with your current police certificate and it is good for one year (unless they have another incident in Jamaica, then of course there would be exceptions).

My Fiance was in the same situation. The clinic or schools had no records of the immunizations. He started getting them at the clinic prior to his medical appointment. He had to get 2 shots when he went to his medical (although he did not complete all of the shots prior to his appointment). He was not required to get all of the shots once he had his medical, but did get the majority of them. When I speak to him tomorrow I will advise you of the exact shots he got at the clinic and the two he was required to get at the medical. He ended up paying 15,500.00 Jamaican dollars for the entire exam (including the fees for the 2 immunizations).

Sorry missed a question. Yes they do keep records of arrest in Jamaica. The clerk had to go through some big old books to locate the information, but she was able to find it. She typed him up a certified court document explaining the charges were "dismissed" "thrown out". I think we should be ok at the next blue slip interview on September 20.

He was arrested in 1994 - he was asked was he ever arrested and he answered yes... We did not want to take any chances not telling the truth and risk being denied completely. Although his police certificate states he is clear, the question is Have you ever been arrested. He had to obtain a police record from the court house in St. Ann explaining the particulars of the case - it indicates that the charges were thrown out of court. The head officer of the courts stated that this incident was never sent to Kingston (because it was thrown out), however a police record (not certificate) is for any police contact, and the information still appears in the local courts. I suggest telling the truth. One of the questions on the visa application is have you ever been arrested. You just can't be too sure how deep they can investigate. His case involved him being shot, and when he went to court to prosecute the person, my fiance was not sure of his identity, the judge charged him with aiding and abetting (charges were dropped, judge said you were the victim).
At the interview they wanted details of the case explained, and the charges. Not sure if because it involved him being shot, or if they ask for the police records for everyone who has been arrested and not convicted. I was not able to find any members who said yes to the question. You have to be honest on the application, remember this is a government agency and any information can be investigated further at any time. Hope this helps.
One more thing to be safe, answer truthfully and go to your interview with the certified police record so you won't get a blue slip.

I felt the K1 process was quick and not so difficult (interview was scheduled in 4 months of filing). 455.00 to file and 350.00 for the visa fee.
