  2. Does anyone have a sample cover letter for their ROC packet? Does the US citizen write it on behalf of their spouse? Did you include a list of the evidence in a numbered order or did you organize it in some other way? I would be most appreciative for any tips on the cover letter and what method you used to organize your evidence. I think you would start with the forms first, then the copy of the green card, and then? Did you include any pics and if so how did you attach them?

Thanks for your help and suggestions.

  3. The waiver is prepared from the viewpoint of the US citizen, not the intending immigrant. You must prove extreme hardship to you, the US citizen if he is not allowed to enter the US and why it would be an extreme hardship for you to move to Peru. The immigrate2us forum is the best source of waiver information on the internet. You need to document all of your hardships and provide supporting evidence. There is a lot involved in preparing a strong waiver package. Any lawyer who told someone they would get their visa right away shouldn't be practicing law.

You may want to consult with a good immigration lawyer who specializes in waivers. One of the best is Laurel Scott at http://www.scottimmigration.net/ Heather Poole is also a good choice http://www.humanrightsattorney.com/

This is not a simple, guaranteed, procedure.
