  1. Does anybody know if I need to be present in the interview whenever it comes around??? And also, if I call USCIS if i can find out exactly where in the process the application is?

      thanks, im sure she can attend herself. i was just wondering dut to me needing 45 days notice to get leave from the military. and the number for uscis has been helpful, because i am military, but i was wondering if they would give anything the website doesnt

      The website is pretty much the only information you will receive from the USCIS about the status of your application. But, even when it is approved, that won't really let you know when your interview will be scheduled. Spend some time in the Peru forums to see how long the process is taking to get an interview once the National Visa Center (NVC) sends your information to the consulate there. That will clue you in more about your country-specific timeline. Good luck!!!

      I did not go to the interview and she got approved, but we also had a lot of evidence. The website never notified me when the petition was approved or when it was sent to Lima. I don't believe she ever got the packet that was sent from the embassy to her house either. About 2 weeks after I got the approval notice(NOA2), I called NVC and was told it had been sent to Lima and got the Lima case #. She then used that to contact the Embassy and pick up the packet. At this point, the USCIS...
