Can someone help me figure out the rules of divorcing in nyc after just 1 week into marriage on the k1 visa. his visa i-194 expired and i didn't file the AOS just yet. we both agree to do this quick, clean and fast. we own nothing, we just made a big mistake. HELP ME PLEASE!

Is there a rule if it's only been 1 week, it could be easier? or is all treated equal?

Check the Law's in state you are filing and yes, as he is gone or leaving it will take about a year to get it done, do not do mistake of contacting him once it has been filed.

I am in US Army and currently Deployed in AFghanistan, My wife got her IR-1/CR-1 visa and its valid for 6 months but she can not come to US right now because i am in Afghanistan so she have to, extend or renew her visa till July 2011.

Mumbai visa center after 7 days of calling and about 8 emails contacted my wife after 3 week, and told her that do not worry about visa expiration date(which is in November 2010, by March 2011 come back to visa office and bring the yellow envelop so they can open it up and will evaluate the situation.

So my question is ,does anyone had the experiance of renewing the IR-1/CR-1 visa, can tell me that is it realy goes in that way as visa center guys said or not?

Got married in Dec 2008 applied for I-130 May 2009(dont ask why waited till May####$$$$!!!!)

Got Visa May 2010 (But can not use it because I am in Afghanistan, need renewal
