  1. My case went also through "additional processing" at the NVC. They even told me that I should give them 3-4 weeks to process my case, but that they couldn't tell me for sure. I freaked out. I started to read the post here in VJ. So, of course, I didn't listen...I called the next day to find out that they already process it and that is was already on its way to the embassy. After reading many posts from VJ, I found out that some case are processed in 2-5 days and others are processed in 3-4 weeks. Although, a few cases last a lot longer than that. I can not tell you the reason why, I simply don't know. I determine that "addtional processing" meant that they are just working on it.

ditto, they told me that my case had do go through additional processing and it was out the door in 4 days... blah blah blah, that's what they say instead of uhh... we are sort of behind

  2. ; I'm going to join the club  ..

Me and Aaron talked about it on the phone today... We "argue" a bit more than we used to when we are together and before this whole process.

Like other girls on this form, I do research this all way more than he does, which is fine because he is working his bum off :innocent: . However, we talk every day and the more we talk, the more we say that we miss each other. Which make things worse, lol!!

Like today, I was like so annoyed of my lonelyness and being apart from him. Although i have the luxury to visit him every 2 months. But that doesn't mean I don't miss him less than you all do. I'm just saying that being apart is getting old and that you fire your frustration towards each other without the meaning hurting each other.

We all are doubting a lil more than before we started this process. And we girls are showing our emotions way more often than our guys. LOL! Sometimes I'm like crying and screaming when I'm talking to him, and I tell Aaron that I feel the world is about to end spinning. LOL, he tells me to chillax, and not act like a drama queen  Guys are just not that over-emotional like we are...

But after arguing and talking it out, you'll realize that your love is soooo strong and found the motivation and strength to wait again. Like sometimes, when you feel like crying, you cry and after that, you feel so much better  .

My day, your day, just the BIG DAY will come eventually..

For now, you should read my signature below and you'll feel much better!! :innocent:

This exact thing happened to me today. I was feeling idle and lonely and started thinking of a bunch of silly grievances that I felt I had to share with my fiance. Of course it led to an argument where he is level headed and I'm all emotional. If we occupied our minds with other things than being apart I think it would make it easier.

  3. Crikey, we should have just gotten married and done the spousal visa. People married after I sent in my petition have already been approved. Jeesh

Well I am due for a hiatus from Visajurney.com. So long, farewell....

See ya'll in the spring. I am guessing it will be March before I get an answer from them, but if it's before then I'll be sure to post.

  4. I am happy for you and your spiritual and religious beliefs that tell you this is the right thing to do. And I hope that you get whatever afterlife reward your faith has for people like you.

But shouldn't this be an individual choice? Is cramming this path down somebody else's throat the right thing to do?

No reward or gold star needed here. Just sayin' your fiance is a foreigner, my fiance is a foreigner, and the Haitians are too. I just prefer that the Haitian foreigners not suffer because they are in the way of our foreigners. This wait isn't for eternity. It's only a couple of months. Jeesh

Unfortunately we can't transfer our rights or privileges as Americans to non-Americans just because we really really love them.

  5. The word I got from them is that they are now working on July 24th- August 17th applications.

Looks like they work on date ranges and that's why the last batch of approvals were all over the place. It is also, probably the reason why they were telling everyone they were working on July 10th applications a few weeks ago. It could have been the first date in the range they were working on.

Not everyone who get approvals post the results on visajourney.com and sometimes people post days, weeks or years later. I know I have seen a few updates posted much later than when the approval is received. I miss my fiance too, but nothing is done before it's time. At first I was kinda sad about the wait, but I know that God wants me to use this time apart for good and not to obsess.

People don't you realize this website makes you nuts. When you check the dates all the time you just get upset, jealous and more impatient.

  6. We are July 12th filers, and we called last week to find out. They told us (from the higher level of customer service) that they were only working on July 10 applications. BUT, come today, we just called the 800 number and got our approval as of today. Just waiting on the NOA2 hard copy now. And of course, the next step, NVC. I know it is hard, but patience is the best thing to have. It is even harder due to the holidays right now, for who knows when they mail things, work, or anything....and the blizzard? Sure it might add things. Patience, patience patience, young grasshopper.

    Sooooooo happy for you.

  7. Now my timeline says

"There are not enough recent approvals in the timeline system to accurately approximate when your I-129f will be approved. Please see the Timeline Stats page to see recent approvals."

Is VSC even giving out NOA2s anymore???? UGHHHHH

maybe people are just not approving their timelines...

Eck I got that too. I am taking a hiatus from this website, it is a great sit,e but contantly checking my status and the timeline and what other people are saying doesn't make the wait easier. I am going to focus on some other things and when I get the NOA2, I'll be back. Deuces!

  8. Thanks for the update. That should put me about a week into January, which I might have him b4 valentines day :( Thata kinda sad, I was hoping for much sooner... How did they tell u that information? What number Did u call, and how did u get to speak to a real person??

Dial the number on the bottom of your NOA1. Don't touch any buttons just hold on and after 10 minutes someone will pick up. They will think you are on a rotary phone and don't have the option to select buttons. Please tell me what case dates they tell you they are working on. If it is close to early July then that might mean they are working with some sort of order. If not that who knows.

  9. Today I called the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) for a question about my i-129F application, unrelated to timelines.

Before I could ask my question, the staff member said, your application is on a "five-month hold." Although this could change, she said currently, CSC is not scheduled to start processing the application until February 2011.

She added other applications with receipts (NOA1s) from September 2010 are also on hold until February 2011. She said that the hold was necessary because of a significant backlog.

I continued to ask some questions:

    - Was this unique to my application or to those of us with receipts (NOA1s) from September 2010?

    - More specifically, was the hold applicable to applications from July, August, October, and November?

    - How does the hold affect CSC's official goal of five months for these applications?

She said the five-month hold applied to all I-129Fs (and perhaps some others, but I did not absorb what she said about other types of applications). She explained that July 2010 applications were on hold until December 2010; August 2010 were on hold until January 2011; etc. She again stressed that this was the current information, and it could change.

With regard to the official goal of five months, she really did not say much, other than repeating that the September applications would be processed in February 2011.

I am somewhat hopeful that her information is out-of-date, for example, the transfer of marriage applications to Texas might be an indication that this supposed backlog is already well on the way to being cleared. While I am trying to remain optimistic, I was disappointed with this potential news.

Has anybody received similar information about a supposed "five-month hold" at CSC? Does anybody have some perspective about this?

How did you get through. I can't seem to get through to anyone?
