  1. Hello Enigma11561 and payxibka,

Thank you for your feedback! I have sent an email to the GUZ Consulate to Set us up with an appointment. Sent all the details I could in the web form... I am sure the requires DS forms will need to be filled out and sent in for his process to continue. If you all have any other fine details I should know, please advise as it is greatly appreciated. Yeah, my wife and I will both go back with the K2 has been issued for sure - Her AOS is 99% done as of this week, so she will travel on her Green Card as you all noted.

Many thanks again -- Ill keep you all in the loop as time rolls forward

  2. Hello,

My wife and I have been married for 2 months now, and she has been in the USA for 4 month total. My wife is from China, and her K1 Visa was processed through Guangzhou. Our AOS is almost complete as our final interview is scheduled to happen in about 1 month. We now want to start the K2 process to have her 12 year old son come to the USA.

Her son was part of the K1 paperwork and we were told that the process was quite simple as long as we got all going in the first year. We have his Birth Certificate (translates, certified...), Quit Claim from his Father releasing him into our custody, his school records, and other items such as family images ++

    My questions are:

    1. What forms do we need to complete?

    2. Is this process faster than the K1 evolution?

    3. Do we use my wife's A# and WAC# in our cover letter and other places to link the K1 and her sons K2 request?

If anyone has completed this process, please advise -- all information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank in advance - Brent and LiLi

  3. Hello David and Ariana and ALL,

My wife has been here now for 3 months, and came here on a K-1. Her 12 year son stayed behind for the same reasons as David and Ariana described. Our plan is to get him here in her 1st year. My wife was told this at here interview in GUZ. Darnell / Jim, I will follow your advise and push forward to submit the online form, and get all rolling. We are 1 month into here AOS, so I hope all goes well with the K2 follow to join' application. If anyone has more details, more advise on this -- please advise! VJ is a great source and has helped me better than my Attorney did during our K1 ...

Thank you all for this post - great help! Felt a bit lost until JimVaPhuong emailed me of this post! Thank you so much!!!

  4. Hello,

During my wife's interview in Guangzhou, they told her she could bring her (minor ... 13 year old) son to the USA, but to do so in the First year of her arrival. She has been here 3 months now, we are married, her AOS has been sent and is being processed. The embassy made it sound very simple, such as call them... Which I know is never that easy!! Her son was part of the original paperwork, maybe this is why the process might be easy if done before the first year?

Any advice, direction, forms I need to fill out, who to send them too? and or experienced comments would be greatly appreciated.

    Brent

  5. Awesome! It was one or the other. Just want to make sure. Thank you so much for this tid-bit or a question. Always know I can get the right questions answered on VJ!!

    -----

it's her present status. she would check the box for married.

    Thank you inky!!

Yeah, I did see that form, but thought for a minute, then felt it was bets to ask all you VJ'ers taht have are ahead of us, just to make 100% sure :)

Shes not divorced shes married to you.

Follow the example forms .... http://www.visajourn...-Form-I-485.pdf

  6. Hello,

Very sorry if this question is so obvious.

Details: My Finance arrived here 5 weeks ago from China. We received her Social Security Card 15 days later, and have just been married a bit over 2 weeks now (about 6 weeks after USA entry...).

On the I-485 Application / Part 3. Processing Information its asks for a Marital Status in section A.

Q: Is this her status as of entry into the USA? -- Which would be (in her case) "Divorced".

Q: Or should I check the Married - since this is our status now...?

In Section B, it asks from her Husbands Full name, which would be me...

I want no RFE's, so please advise if you can.

    Thank you all in advance!!

    Brent

  7. Hello,

So all the information, saved papers, images, trips and all my evidence of relationship that I have, but did not have at the time of submitting my I-130 application is useless? The VO only looks at what was submitted almost a year ago with my I-130 application? My fiancees interview is in 10 days, have prepared all our Continuing Evidence, EOR, so much stuff -- totally accurate, and I am getting the feeling there is no pre-screening to show the VO of our EOR since my I-130 application?? Sorry for my frustration, but we did not send in any of this with our DS-230 last month...

  8. Any update on this Brent? Good luck with everything!

    Hello James,

I just sent the information requested in the RFE two days ago. I sent a certified and notary bound document of LiLi's divorce, Red Book, and un-married status with full translation (done in CN) and a supporting verification that the China documents - mandarin to English translation is correct (this was verified by a USA Gov. agency... Letter head, stamp, certified). I am a bit nervous, should not be as all the paperwork is accurate and reads correct.

I will keep you all posted on this! I should hear something this week or early next!

    Thank you for checking in!

    Take care!!

  9. Roger this is Brent,

I just got a RFE for my Fiance in ChangSha stating that they need more proof of her divorce.

Marriage Termination: Submit a legible copy of the original language final divorce decree that shows proof of filing, or death certificate issued by the civil authorities, that terminated the prior marriage (s) between (Persons Name) and (other persons name).

    ----

We had a state agency Create, Translate, Certify (with embossed seal) all this information but I guess if is not good enough! Roger can you Suggest to me any advise? Please you stated "Ask me how I know" I do want to know for sure, please advise any helpful information so I can pursue the correct information for USCIS.

I will be back in ChangSha in one week so I can hand carry all things needed back ...

    Thank you in advance!!

  10. Hello! Try and get support from your family, friends, and try not to focus too much on the Time Gap between NOA1 & 2!! Like others have said we are all in the same boat on this. I should be getting our NOA2 this month ( Fingers Crossed) and I know all about the Time issue and how it is affecting my Fiance -- we stay strong, support each other every day!! Call and talk to your fiance every day if you can, support each other, mail card, small gifts -- Anything to make the time pass. But more important stay upon all your records, polish all your information so that when your NOA2 comes you can be on it!! The process from there is really fast to the Interview date! -- Hang in there it is all worth it !!!

  11. Hello,

I am new here at VJ, just received my first NOA... Very Excited. My Fiancee lives in ChangSha and was curious if any other people here have a fiancee in this China Provence?

Anyway, good luck to all those on this journey! I am stead fast and so is my fiancee so I know we will make it and she will be here soon!
