  1. All this confusion!!!!!!

9 more days until my interview (Sept 24) Should I assume since I am still scheduled the old way that I still pay & bring my xpress envelope to the interview as previously done? Maybe I should call to be sure? I'm thinking I would of gotten something in the mail if they changed it for me as well, but since they snuck this new process in without warning, you never know!

No, by reading the site carefully you will see that you have to register for DHL locations before the interview. At the interview time, they will give you a piece of paper and you can use this paper + your photo ID to pick up your passport at the DHL location you chose.

  2. I don't think Montreal offers the "pick up your visa the next day" service. I think you can only get it sent to you via Canada post.

A few filers over the past year or so have been lucky and been able to pick up the next day but it is not the norm. You can always ask at your interview but I wouldn't count on getting a positive answer. Bring your Expresspost envelope to be safe.

I believe the medicals are ready in two days but Dr. Seiden's office can confirm for you when you book your appointment. Montreal Medical Appointments

    Good luck!

Thank you very much for your answers. I have booked a day with Dr. Seiden's office. The medical is ready in 2 days at Dr. Seiden's office. However, it is ready in 3 days if you will have your medical done at Medisys. About the next day visa pick up, I am sure I will ask them at my interview.

  3. Hello all,

My interview at the U.S. Consulate in Montreal will be on Oct 29 at 9am, just received an email from NVC yesterday. Can I wait and pick up my passport + visa one day or two days after my interview?

I have called Seiden for an appointment of medical exam, but finally there is no one to answer the phone and the message is in French, don't understand but I gave them my name and phone number, I guess that is what the French message wants me to do.

Is a medical exam on Oct 26 is long enough to have a result before the interview?

    Thanks,

    T

  4. Well, you can go on the Australia forum, maybe you`ll find help there too...

Thank you very much for your reply. I bought an international bank draft in Australian dollar at RBC. Hopefully, Australian Federal Police will accept this bank draft as they usually do with an international money order.

  5. Thank you very much "Vero and Chris" and "Colleens". I have sent a current (10 days old) Canadian Police certificate with the 15 months old Australian one, and I had no problem at NVC. Now it is the turn at Montreal. I know that the new one is better but it is very hassle to order an Australian Police Certificate. So if it is unnecessary I should use the old one I already have. I need to ask someone in Australia to help me order it since I need a money order in Australian Dollar for the payment and this money order cannot be bought in Canada.

  6. Hello Canadian VJers,

I am waiting for my interview at the US Consulate-Montreal. I was in Australia till 2008 and never go back there. When I moved out Australia I applied for an Australian police certificate dated Feb 2009. Now it is older than 12 months. Can I use this police certificate for the US immigration visa and show it at my interview? I have submitted it to NVC and my case completed at NVC without any problem. However, I am wondering about it at the Montreal Consulate.

Thank you very much for your answer.
