Our interview is March 22nd and I plan on being there. I know I don't have to be, but I'm since I can be... I will be! Plus I wanna see my tax $ at work. Also, I want that feeling of accomplishment when we walk out the door. Get that monkey off our back, if you will.

Sorry, my question wasn't so clear. We will have our interview in Rio de Janirero, Brazil, so this question is specific to that embassy. How long did it take to get the visa from the Rio embassy? We know you cant travel without the visa. But my travel time is limited and my fiance wants me to be with her when she travels. Thanx

I have a question. You guys that has already gone through the K1 interview, how long was it to receive the visa at home Some people say it delays 3 days, other one week. My interview will be on a tuesday, but my fiancee want me to go with him to america on the sunday just after the interview. Im not sure if Ill have the visa in hands yet. If you can share your experience with me Ill be thankful

We just got our NOA2 !!!! It was on Friday. Right now were waiting for the hardcopy. We are VEEERY happy and wanted to share the good news with you. I hope to have more good news like that from you guys soon !!!

Good luck! The wait is painful, frustrating and seemingly never ending sometimes. But there's a light at the end of the tunnel and once you get there, it's all worth it!

same here, Dec 17 will be my 5 mos of waiting....... i wonder if it will ever be approve, sometimes waiting is really the hardest thing to do.

Im happy and sad to know Im not the only one waiting for more than 3 months for NOA2. I hope all of you can get it SOON. Because I dont know about you,guys but Patience is a virtue . . . that I dont have yet. I think, maybe, USCIS and NVC will help me to learn in the most difficult way

No, you can't leave as soon as your application is filed. Once you file it (make sure you file for AP ALONG WITH AOS or you will end up having to pay for it), you will receive your advanced parole permission in the mail usually about 2-4 months later. You cannot leave until that document is in your hands.

Hey everyone! I am shaking sooo bad right now! I just got a text/email at 6:32 tonight (eastern time) from USCIS telling me that my case was updated.... I checked.... my petition was APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please don't hate me. Just know all of your times are coming soon. VSC is definitely back in action. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??

Nice catch SaraOms. Just picked thru it. Did anyone find any info on the I-129f? I looked in Chapter 21 Family Based Petitions and Applications under 21.3 Petitions for Spouse. I didnt see anything said about Fiance or I-129f except a procedural concern:

· If the petitioner entered on a K-1 visa and the I-130 petitioner is not the same person who filed the I-129F petition, the alien is prohibited from adjusting status.

Maybe I'm blind and paranoid. But I am a humble man and will patiently sit here and wait until I can Stand corrected .

Again I havent read it all word for word yet...that's a job for another day and fresh eyes .

Sorry your man had such a rough entry. Fortunately, that obstacle is behind you know. The way I sees it, you have two choices.

1. File a complaint, you got the agents number on all accounts

2. Leave it be and laugh about it at your reception and subsequent anniversaries

Personally I like option #2, the less I have to deal with Uncle Sam the better.

I sent my package via FedEX overnight and it was received Monday. I've seen a lot of people get their NOA1 via email within a few days and I haven't got anything yet.

Would FedEX have delivered it correctly with this address printed? It wouldn't fit in the first field :/

I was looking your timeline we have just one day of difference in our process. My fiancee didnt know about the form to get emails and text from USCIS. So Im almost crazy waitong for NOA 1 by mail. I had the same question. Go to yout profile and "Change your signature". So you add there the information you want.

Yesterday we read about the change of filing location that started August 3rd. Did anybody send the package for the wrong place because didnt know about this change

We sent our package to California Center on August 9. We didnt know about this change. Now we have to wait and see. But I still believe sending to the regular Service Canter is better. Our pack was received. Were waiting for NOA 1.
