Both my husband and step-daughter were born in the UK.
-
Hmmm, not sure it is applicable to someone who has never been married... The question was name of prior spouse and he put N/A. This is also what we put on HIS I-130 several years ago and we had no problems then.
Looking for opinions from those who have experienced the same thing.

Oh boy... so I'm petitioning for my step-daughter (16 and unmarried) to come over and join me (USC) and my husband (green card holder). We got an RFE in the mail asking for the proof of legal termination of marriage between my husband and his daughter's mother... but they were never married! I called USCIS and finally spoke to someone and he was like "well, that's a new one for me. I guess have them both write a letter." Has anyone had this happen before?? Will a letter from my husband suffice? In the original I-130 application under previous marriages my husband said "N/A" so it just seems like someone messed up...

Ha! Yes, I meant school year rather than calendar year
Does it really take a whole year? Yikes...

My 16 year old stepdaughter has decided she wants to move over and live with her father (green card holder) and I (USC) after completing school this year. Does anyone know if there is a benefit to me applying as the USC, though I'm the step parent rather than her dad applying? I work part time and he works full time and therefore makes more of that matters!

1. petioner must be a US citizen.
2. Rlationship should be bonafide.
3. Both are free to marry and intend to do so within 90 days of benificiary's arrival to US.
These three points are verified thorugh a number of diffrent ways. Point 1 US citizen. They check birth certificate, us passport, certificate from department of health or any thng which can prove that u r US citizen. if u lack anythng they ask for RFE. RFE might be anythng u forgot to check anybox or or didnt fill up any field or u didnt submit anythng can turn into RFE. when u get RFE u will know what ther want. Dnt worry man keep fingers crossed i understand this time killing is very hard but we cant do anytnhg except to wait for RFE hardcopy.
You missed an important requirement - petitioner and beneficiary must have met within the last two years, and you must have primary evidence of this.

My fiance has been back twice and never had an issue. He brought his itinerary and some work stuff and they didn't even ask to see it! They just said "you're not getting married this time, right?" and he said "Nope" and was on his way! This was at Seatac though, which is a really easy POE, I've heard.

It's from the movie Airplane.

And sniffing glue....
Hehehehe, I was totally thinking that
Anyone else's heart stops beating every time they get an email?

I don't understand what's up with CSC...
I know, I don't get it... they were doing SO WELL... C'MON CSC!!!

Ah okay, thanks! I'll order my tax transcripts and get together some pay stubs.
-
I meant a touch right before the NOA2. I was just wondering if there was any evidence your case was being worked on before the NOA2 news. Mine was last touched in Sept too.
-
Hi everyone, my fiance and I are still waiting for NOA2, but looking at getting things together for the I-134. Does London accept just tax returns or W2s from the last 3 years or do I need more than that? I've seen people getting letters from their bank or employer and I didn't think that was necessary if income was enough?
-
Any of you get any touches before your NOA2 or just the NOA2? Just wondering
-
Woo! Keep rocking CSC! Or you, move even faster
-
We have the same situation, we were just going to wait until NOA2 and change the address with NVC and London.
-
Holy #######, people that have NOA1 from the last week of August are getting approvals! I think we're coming up soon Sept peeps!!
-
I feel like the end is in sight
I know that's silly because we still have the NVC and embassy wait, but I feel like it'll all be downhill after we get our NOA2.
I hope you're right!! Hey, we're almost timeline twins
-
I've been watching with amazement of all the August filers getting approved. It's getting me all revved up for all us September filers that are soon to follow!!!! Yeah comon CSC!!!!!!!!!
I know, it's so exciting to see those right before us getting approved! We're SO CLOSE!!!!
How long for an interview date?
in United Kingdom
Posted
We received notice on the 22 November that the NVC would be scheduling the interview for my stepdaughter (IR2), but haven't heard anything about a date yet. How soon should we hear? Anyone know how far out they're scheduling in London?
