    Well everyone I have to say with much regret my time here in the US is coming to an end along with my marriage. It turns out I married a cheat , liar and con man. He has been involved with sex texting, porn sites, facebook sex chatting and today found he is a member of 2 swingers groups which he joined 4 months ago and wrote he is divorced. Well soon he will be and he will be left broke too as he let me spend all my money so tat I have nothing left. I am very disillusioned right now my hearn...

    Quick question - If I'm flying on my passport which is my maiden name and my green card is in my married, is that going to be an issue getting in & out of the country??

    YOu wouldn't beleive it I went down to get my Georgia license today and did not have to wait long my number came up pretty quick. At first the lady at the front desk told me no I needed a GC and then I showed her the page I printed from the net where it says I only need my EAD card and marrrige cert. SO she said take a seat and fill in this form, she was really nice. Oh she also told me I would not be able to do the road test. SO I get called nice lady named Janice looked at me weird and ...

      I'm in Utah and I took in my SSN, Visa and Marriage cert (but no EAD yet) and they said I can't get a drivers license until I get a Greencard. But I can get a 1 year 'Driver Privilege Card' which means I take a drivers written and practical test and can then drive legally but it is not a legal identification card. Its frustrating because I can't get any legal ID in my married name until I get my greencard....which is AGES....lol

    I cannot stop laughing at the fact that my baby was conceived around 2 weeks after landing in the USA. Saw it today and cried - life is good :) Now hurry up USCIS and give me a green card woot!!

    Quick question for my VJ friends....Its been about 3 weeks since we got married now and I'm just getting ready to lodge the AOS papers....Do I have to lodge mine and my childrens papers application together?? I'm asking for finanical reasons!!

    I got my Passports and Visa's returned today which I'm so happy about.......but on examination I noticed that my visa states my sex as Male (which is incorrect) ggrrrr....so I'm having to send it back for correction!! I've got 3 weeks til we fly out so hopefully thats plenty of time to have that corrected!!

      I know crzy right....They asked that I resend ALL the documents back to them as they will have to reissue a new visa. Good thing I wasn't planning on flying out in a few days :)

    Been in the U.S. for 2 weeks and enjoying so much being with my baby. Planning our wedding for the 27th Nov and have my baby very busy with some renovations to the house. Can't wait till my own stuff arrives. I have been home sick missing my kids and grand kids but in time it will get easier.

      Great point Junita thank you and Barb, I believe we'll end up having a similar type of thing. We've decided to not have a big reception (just a simple sacred religious ceremony) as I'm truly starting to feel like there are so many other expenses that need to be taken care of which are more important once we're married then to spend a big chunk of our savings on entertaining or feeding other family and friends at a wedding reception.
