I came with my family when I was 9 years old and we were approved for asylum in 2002. I was only 14 years old so I guess because I was underage my family never applied for green card for me or maybe they applied but I just never got it. Until I turned 18 I applied for it myself and I received it. That was in 2006. When will I be able to apply for citizenship? any exception for what happened? I have been granted asylum for over 10 years now.
Also I read somewhere that for aslyum green card holder you only have to wait 4 years for citizenship? Is that true?
