  1. Checked the case status of my petition, after i sent in more documents about the RFE ! , and i got this notice .....

    Initial Review

On March 15, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we certified our approval of this case and sent it to the appropriate appellate body for review. They will notify you directly when they make a final decision. If you move while this case is pending, follow the instructions provided in the notice and use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.

If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.

  2. I am also a Janurary filer for the I-130 petition, I Got my NOA 1 on Janurary 11th with a MSC #. SingSing79 that is amazing you got NOA2 so fast !!!

I also want to say even if you make an InfoPass appointment and talk to an IO there, they don't always give you the correct information. At my local office they told me that they are not processing I-130 petitions there. This is false. Members on VJ have been transferred to the Pitt office. I believe I was one of them because I had a miraculously short waiting time for my I-130. Shorter waiting times seem to be consistent with smaller offices and by small I mean lesser case loads. Smaller offices=faster I-130 turn around time. For example, Pitt only had about 300-400 I-130 petitions pending (according to USCIS) compared with Houston's 5,000-6,000.

Sending petitions to local offices is largely unfair but unfortunately nothing can be done about it until they make the decision to have I-130s sent back to Vermont and California.

  6. We'll i decided to begin building and printing out needed documents. I Will be getting married around Oct 31, 2012 in The Philippines, I'm Never Married. Im 27 She'll be 21 years old. She's about to finish her college june 1st. We've been in the Relationship for nearly 1 year now, and I Traveled in met her in person One Time for about 2 weeks. I have been Supporting my Fiancee financially, Nearly sending her $9,000 U.S. Dollars in our 11 months together, I have about 35 Western Union Reciepts. DO I NEED TO INCLUDE ALL OF THEM? or does it even matter? Also im trying to build up some Chat records, most of our chats is done on Viber App,. and Calls to one another. I just dont have ability to prove it, But how many pages of Chat Logs should be included, or did you include? Also i have made $50,000 US The past 4 years, i have my W2's from the previous 3 years saved. (is this enough money the 125% poverty?) next. do i need to include a Police Record for myself? How many Pictures together did you Include ?

  7. amazing story !!! my fiancee is terribly busy until about June, dedicating her time to Schooling, But once June arrives, i hope she will put good efforts into organizing this properly come Halloween ~! thanks for the tips and advice, it really settled me down ! haha ! nervous , anxious, excited all in one i am. im so blessed to finally have met the one for me, i been searching since March 2008 , met various chatmates in the Philippines the past few years, and Ruth Joy has all brains and heart i could ever want in a wife.

  8. Yes because, not only have the US Citizen sacrificed their time and money, of which is not cheap, but they've also sacrificed their "Heart". When you love someone, you are dedicating your heart; entrusting this person with it. So, when a US Citizen puts his/her "All" into bring the love of their life to the USA; just to find out their foreign spouse used them, that's not only a waste of time, but it's also a waste of their "Precious Heart". That is very "heart-breaking" in the worse way ever to be used by someone with another "Agenda" after you have given your heart too them completely.

WELL SAID ! i had this discussion with my love yesterday, because i can relate completely , i have thrown everything i have towards making this happen, and the wedding is in 6 months, so i hope.

  9. Rick Jovi, We'll that seems great and all, But too me its meaningless.... I just have my grandmother , not other close family.... my friends, i can care less if they are at my wedding...... now from her point of view, having 11 other brothers and sisters, and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins....... it would be more fun for both of us, to get married in the Philippines..... Already crazy nervous about having the proper documentation to be eligible to be married.. !! Once her school is finished in June, I will put her on the mission to go and research what i will need. the advice here is awesome, thank you everyone.

  10. After searching since March 2008 and meeting 4 or 5 girls in person, I Have met "The One" for me. I purposed to Ruth Joy on November 10th, 2011 in front of her Grandparents who Raised Her. And i have continued supporting her financially through school, and hard times. The Webcam chats are great, Just patiently waiting for the Wedding later this year. We will have a small civil wedding in October this year. My plan is to bring my Grandmother with me also to attend the wedding. It really gives me a headache though. I Have never been Married nor Has my Fiancee, I Will be 27 she will be 21 in by the time of the Wedding. What Documents will i need , My time in the Philippines is October 21-nov 12 . and i was hoping my Grandmother could leave by October 28th and Return back home to the USA..... but from what i have read, It takes 10 days to get The Legal Capacity to Marriage certificate from the Embassy in Manila. ????? is this right? I was really hoping for a small simple wedding, Just arrive in manila, go straight to the embassy, get my Certificate to marry, go setup the Marriage Liscense, get married and have my Certificate by the time my grandmother leaves..... Can this be done . or what exactly must i do once i get there... is there anything i can do while im still here? I've been leaning towards the CR-1 visa .
