  1. Tsk! Tsk! What a weak come back. Is that all you can do? You turn to name-calling when you are confronted with the truth.

If you didn't believe something you see on internet or TV, why did you turn tail after you read my caveat on the internet?

Here, let me give you plenty of "YELLOW" stuffy whistling.gifwhistling.gifwhistling.gifwhistling.gifwhistling.gifwhistling.gif

You are one big, loud, arrogant braggart who likes to pick fights with ladies. Why don't you go to Off Topic where all the REAL MEN are?

    :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

  2. Was it really denied? From what I know a blue slip means that you just need to pass some missing paperworks or from what you've said just copies of phone records. In Manila there has been cases of blue slips that still got a K1 approved visa after submitting what the embassy wanted.

That is not true.. After my interview i saw the CO has a blue paper on his hand and he wrote something that i dont know coz he didnt show it to me. He put me in under review but after 8 weeks of waiting he denied me...Now we are in the process of appeal

  3. This has been a double standard with USEM since I started he process in 2007. USEM: We will deny you if we catch you lying, and we will deny you for telling the truth.

Several VJers have been denied for telling the truth. The best post I remember was,"If it was good enough for a president why not an immigrant." with a picture of President Clinton smoking a joint.

Too bad the VJ search does not go back that far.

I hope the lawyer does well for you MJ & S.

That is true, the CO has the power to decide wether they approve or not. They like to play games on the applicants lol. They could have denied me right after my interview instead of wasted 8 weeks for nothing. Could have start the appeal since then.. Im still thankful to God they didnt ban me forever for admitting my experimentation last 8 years ago though still sad, depressing but atleast we still have a chance to appeal and hopefully could get out of this situation sooner.. I feel sad to the filipio guy who did not approved this week for admitting the past drugs last 20 years ago they ban him forever..

I do believe in myself that Atty Michael Gurfinkel could help me..

Thank you edp333 for your time.

  4. In your case, I believe an appeal is better than reapplying. If you apply again, you will be denied again for the same reason. You need a good immigration attorney to handle your appeal. Please read the link provided by Pinay Wife.

Yeah are right..Spoke to the girl in embassy who incharge in immigrant visa section. Appeal is the next step. Thank u for your time reading my post :)

    Here's another article.

    http://www.gurfinkel...m_updates40.htm

"U.S. immigration laws state that a person could be "inadmissible" (or ineligible to go to the U.S.) if he "admits committing acts which constitute the essential elements of … a violation of … any law or regulation of … a foreign country relating to a controlled substance …" In other words, if a person merely admits they violated a drug law, they could be inadmissible, even if they were never caught, arrested, charged, or convicted of violating any drug laws. However, the question needs to be asked: which drug law was violated, and what are the essential elements of that law?"

You do need to get a good immigration lawyer.

I will surely contact Atty Michael Gurfinkel on monday. He is the same lawyer were my fiances friend recommended...Went to an office of the attorney yesterday in makati but the consultant or assistant of the attorney said they never had encounter a case like mine. It's a waste of money if we still continue her service....Thank you Pinaywife for helping me :)

I want some of what he's smoking! B-)

    Hahahahaha

  5. You have to show that you are "rehabilitated" which is usually a timely thing. I am sure people that have been caught up in it will guide you. Sorry but there is no quick fix.

I dont think i need to show them that i had been rehabilitated coz it was only an experimentation... IF they denied me for a reason "You have been abused a controlled subtance" that i need one " Spoke to the girl whos incharge in immigrant visa section and she said they could response me right away soon as i submit a Letter of Appeal.

  6. I just found out today after 8 weeks of waiting that my case is denied. Here's the reason of denial " You have admitted to committing acts in violation of any law or regulation of the United States, or of a foriegn country relating to controlled subtance."...My question is how to make a Letter of Appeal or should i get a lawyer for this?

    Thank you!

  7. Hi VJ's, I just want to know if the person who posted this issue get approve? I am in the same situation, i had my interview last June 22nd and during my medical exam i admitted i tried drugs last 2003. The consular put me in Under- Review for 8 weeks. Until now i havent heard from them (Embassy). Called embassy last week and they said they sent me a letter wth my passport on it thru post mail.Anyone heard like this before sending passport thru post mail? Thanks!

  8. I cant believe there are some people here who were trying to push me more down instead of encouraging to be strong or wishing me luck. Well, if you couldnt say anything that is helpful better not to write any negative thoughts. Thank you for the effort and please i dont want to read any ideas from you. Thank you again!

    God

    Bless

    Us

    All!

  9. Yes you are correct, Admitting to drug use is ground for automatice visa denial in Philippines. Other countries will overlook it, but not in Philippines

Ur talking about automatic denial but how come they didnt do that to me? I know most of the applicants got denied right after the interview and returned thier passport back.

Jordanntonio0:At least you now know that the case is being attended to. Call back again next week to check. Good luck!

Yeah, my fiance will call them this wednesday.

  10. I wouldn't worry why the CO is keeping your passport.

If it was me I would be finding a lawyer in PI that deals with Immigration Issue and see if they can dig you out of the hole you have put yourself in. Lawyers are very cheap in PI and your fiance should have no problems retaining a lawyer, I wouldn't sit back and wait I would be proactive

I dont have to worry about getting a lawyer since i dont have any final denial yet. Would be better for me to wait coz i had seen few people getting lawyer and after couple or few of months they got approved. We dont do anything right now cept keep calling USEm. :)

Did you read the pinned thread by NinJones? The last person who posted there shared her thoughts about divulging past drug encounters at SLMEC. I know someone who was sent to the Fraud Prevention Unit (it wasn't drug related) and she was approved after two months. Your case is under investigation so call the Embassy and ask about the stat

I didnt read much about getting a visa before. Wish i saw NinJones post before, i didnt know why i was confident before taking med exam and interview, didnt know that being honest will lead me into trouble. Im not losing hope yet.

Thank you guys who give time on reading my problem and replying. I do really appreciate it! Will let you all know whenever i get the result and hopefully soon, I hooooope. God Bless You All!

  11. From what I have seen and read over the years.

If you admit to drug use during your interview or medical in Philippines your Visa will be denied.

I know that...... but everything is in the hands of the CO. There were girls that i have same situation as mine and they got approved after couple of months. My question is why would the CO keep my passport if i am denied already.

  12. Call the Non-Immigrant Visa section. Dial 3012000 - wait for the voice prompt - press 7 - dial 5184 or 5185 immediately followed by #. Call to check the status of your case. The reason why your passport was returned was because of the information you disclosed. Applicants who receive a white form get their passports back after the interview due to a lot of things. I got one because I lacked a certain document. Yours is a different case.

They did not gave my passport back after the interview, consular keep my passport. My fiance called USEm last week but the girl on the line said there is no status on my case.So she wrote a report forwarded to consular section saying that the petetioner called bla bla bla. She said to call back after 2 weeks if we hear back from the embassy still.I heard one girl had an issue same as mine and she got approved i just dont know the exact stories coz she did not detailed it. I am hoping they let will let me know soon if they would deny me so we could plan the nxt step like apply for a waiver if am qualified.:)

have you tried to call the embassy and find out why they still have it? Did you pay the Air21 fee when you went to the embassy for the interview?

No i did not pay the Air21.

  13. Hi VJ's! Anyone here had been to the FPU after your interview wth the CO? During my medical exam at St Luke's I admitted i tried drugs 3X month of April and May year 2003. Was out of curiosity and friends influence.Since then i never try any since i know it doesnt give me good at all...During my interview the CO asked me about my fiance's name. age, work, how many times we met and lastly he said if i tried any drugs since then i said "No Sir". He looked at my 50 photos taken from the Philippines and Thailand and my 2 inches thick chats. After that he returned the pictures and chats but keep my passport and he told me " we are not quite done yet, we need more information from you regarding ur admission on ur past drug. Just set at the corner and wait." I said Ok, thank you Sir. It was just 3 mins interview. My name called on window 34 got a white paper written proceed to Room 1206 at 1:30pm. While at room 1206 filipino guy came up to me, didnt know he works under FPU.Told me we dont have enough time he asked if we can make it tmrw at 8:30am i said "sure sir" and he told me to bring my sons death certificate.Came back 8;30am but he left already and the guards told me i was late 10 minutes, i apologized, one guard phoned room 1206 if they would still let me in since i am late and maybe the person on the line said yes. So guards let me in. At the room 1206 the girl told me that the guy who supposedly investigate me has an emergency meeting, so she just asked me to submit my sons Death Certificate and said come back again tmrw same time. Went back nxt day and finally he is there at the lobby picked me up and brought to FPU room. Long story short he is an investigator. We spent 3 hours at the FPU. After investigating me he said i just wait a letter or a call from embassy.....I don't know if i have still chances to get approve. My fiance and I still hoping and praying for my case. God help me.
