i called the consulate and they said they have the petition but have not mailed the letter to my fiancee yet...

Hi! Nope we haven't received anything yet. I called NVC and they told me that they sent it to mexico on Dec 21, but the consulate hasnt told me it was received. How did you find that out?? I imagine that the holidays slowed things down especially since they do Dia de Reyes in Jan but I hope we all hear something soon

by the way I don't know if you'd be planning to go back to mexico after the baby is born but I would actually not go to cd. juarez with a new born baby, its dangerous as it is. Also, unlike other consulates you don;t have to be present at his interview, in fact you can't be only the applicant is allowed inside this consulate.

Also. I'm sure if we do need to send more they will let us know. I have 2 copies of the packet I sent out to the USCIS. hey well im unfamiliar with forms for the nvc stage. i have a close friend who got a fiancee visa for her brazilian husband 2 yrs ago. she told me that at the consulate is where u take a packet (originals) and financial support, medical records etc. As far as i know u dont do anything during nvc stage but wait but i could be wrong or things may have changed.

it says its estimated i will get something in early december. im anxious to get it too. my guesstimate is that dan will get his visa in the spring...
