  1. My folks lives in Baroda, Gujarat, INDIA. Their case was completed at NVC then transferred to Mumbai consulate for an Interview.

    We've contacted VFS office and they told us that we need to pay "Rs. 387" and list of documents to be submitted to VFS (copies).

    1. Passport: photocopy of the bio pages of the current passport and a copy of the observation

    page or previous U.S visa pages (if any).

    2. Photograph*

    3. Biographic Data Forms: DS230 Part I and II

    4. Birth Certificate: original and photocopy*

    5. Marriage Certificate: original and photocopy

    6. Divorce Decree for all previous marriages: original and photocopy

    7. Death Certificate: original and photocopy

    8. Proof of Relationship

    9. Police Reports: original

    10. Foreign Police Certificates: original

    11. Deportation Records

    12. Prison Records

    13. Military Records

    14. Affidavit of Support (I-864 with attachments): original

    15. Affidavit of Support (I-864A with attachments, if applicable): original

    16. Copy of Affidavit of Support (I-864 / I-864A) (F category only, for each family member)

    17. Job Offer letter from Employer in the United States: original

    18. Medical Report*

    Question, since we have sent all the documents original + photocopies to NVC then why should we have to submit again to VFS, mumbai.

    Please help,

  3. Hello everyone, with the BIG help from VJ.com members our case (my parents) was completed on June 5, 2009.

    Details as follows (Time line)

    I-130 for Parents (IR-5) @ California Service Center

    Consulate: Mumbai - Bombay, INDIA

    02/6/2009.....Filed I-130 @ Chicago Lockbox (reg. USPS mail)

    02/12/2009.....USCIS received the I-130's

    03/20/2009.. NOA2- Case approved, Transferred to NVC

    06/05/2009.. NVC case completed transfers to US consulate, Bombay

    Interview Date: JUL-17-2009 @ 7.30am

  4. hi vish .read ur dcf story .believe me was very helpful to me. actually i will soon be going to india to file for my husband . i want to file in delhi. i have a ???? :help: can u please tell me where was ur wife interview in delhi embassy or somewhere else ??????????????? and also please tell me where did u get her medicals done and by the way congrats on ur filing success

    Congratulations Surti-lala!. I am from Surat too. I am trying to help my cousin who'll visit to India forhis wedding. Please explain 60 days waiting rule before apply to USCIS, Delhi. Is it 90 days now? And also, how do you count the days, is it the day you arrive in Bombay airport or after wedding.

    * This Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

    Sent Date: Mid-July to TSC then transferred to CSC.

    Rec'd NOA1- With WAC number on Aug 08.

  6. I checked USPS website and it says "We attempted to deliver your item at 4:14 PM on July 20, 2007 in MESQUITE, TX 75185 and a notice was left. It can be redelivered or picked up at the Post Office. If the item is unclaimed, it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

    Does anyone has the same issue with TSC.

    First of all, thanks to VJ for making this forum very educational and all you users who share his/her helpful experience. Good job everyone; I mailed i-751 for my wife, who's from INDIA. Sample cover letter is attached, let me know. Hope for smooth approval (TSC is slow, we know that). We went to D.O.R.A for AOS.

    Green card expires on Sep 8, 2007 (It's late but not that late).
