Hey~ I gave my biometrics on March 19 and haven't heard back from them since. I checked my status online and it kept saying "case was received on Feb 18. Has anyone checked their online status after the biometrics? Does the system show any updated info?

This is normal. The on-line status update is just going to continue showing case received and processing until a decision is made regarding the case. Biometrics is only a part of the process moving toward that decision. If all goes smoothly and no interview, the status won't change until the card is produced. This is practically identical to the AOS waiting game except for the case number being on the Bio letter instead of NOA.

out of curiosity: Why do people get early biometrics appointments?

It's not an early appointment. The appointment time is listed on the notice, but the ASC might accept an early walk-in AFTER one has received an appointment notice. The logic in this is A) getting it over with at a convenient time and B) the hope of moving the process along. There is no guarantee that it will make the process move quicker, but it is nice to be able to get it out of the way and check it off. We did this for the AOS stage, but we still waited a year for the AOS to be approved.

i didn't remember any section in the form where i can ask them to send us an email or text. i know it asked for a phone # and email address but when on the application process asked for it so that they can email/text us?

Actually, there is a way of knowing, but it is hit or miss. It is the G-1145 form that can be attached to any petition or application for free. If attached, they will email/text when the NOA is sent in the mail. Like I said, it is hit or miss. We included it with our I-129f and I-485 and received e-notification both times. We included it with the I-751 and didn't receive anything until the NOA was in our mail box. Nothing to worry about though. Also, you won't be receiving your NOA until the check is cashed. When you see the withdrawal in your account, you will know to expect the NOA within 1-2 weeks after that date. It took them several days to cash our check too for whatever reason. Just hold tight.

I'm submitting in a couple months and am digesting the information now. The cover letter example provided under the Guides section is written by a US citizen spouse. Shouldn't it be written by the conditional resident?

Either really. It's just a cover letter after all. The form is designed to be submitted jointly for those still married. This is the reason for that particular example letter.

Hi! I sent my package to CSC on 01/29 using USPS Priority and it was delivered to CSC on 02/01 but I still haven't received the NOA until now. Should I just resend my package?

I also sent the fee waiver request (I912) along with my I751. Is this causing it longer to process?

I would inquire and call USCIS about your package rather than resending it all over again first. That would only complicate matters if your NOA was on the way. Confirm things first, then take action. The NOA is an extension notice, but it is also a receipt. Since a normal case includes a check, they would cash the check, inspect the form(s) for the correct following of instruction, and send the NOA. If a waiver is involved, I suspect it would be normal for a delay as they inspect the waiver request before freely granting an extension. This is just my suspicion. In any case, confirm your filing status first before resending anything and save yourself from unnecessary frustration.

Yeah. Probably within 1-2 months. Maybe sooner. That will have your case status number.

if that is hard to do, lets pick some one who will be updating the list this way things will be consistent and up to date. so we can all send the info to that one and they will update the list each day or when ever they get new data to put in. I can do this or if someone wants to.

Form I-864 filed with the AOS already sealed your fate in regard to income. No need to report it again.

When we provided photos of us meeting within the 2 years, we merely labeled the photos with place, date, and people in photos. Listing the people in the photos is really the best you can do. It's not a huge concern to worry over. Just follow instructions. USCIS and DoS can investigate matters if it was really deemed necessary.

Have not received my NOA1 yet :/ I'm getting a bit worried. I only sent my package 10 days ago (got confirmation with signature and check was cashed) and I know it can take longer than that but other people who sent it around the same time already got theirs. I hope I receive it soon :S

Did you send it with E-notification (form G-1145)? Usually, the e-notification would come sooner. Being that you are right at 10 days, and it is Saturday, I wouldn't stress the NOA letter so much. Give it 4 more days starting Monday. I always give it 2 weeks before I start worrying.

It is best to use facebook messages that don't contain any profanity and attest to your bona fide relationship. You should not block out information. Yes, they are trained to catch minor details like this. Contrary to what a member said before, you can use messages on social media as proof of bona fide relationship.

Just to clear up any confusion. The "on-going relationship" part isn't a requirement of the I-129f. It IS a requirement at the interview stage. Even then, the amount required is really based on the embassy and its discretion. Many people front load the petition with this evidence for a smoother interview. This generally is advantageous in countries with high fraud cases. Nobody is saying you can't send this information. It just isn't required at the petition stage. It doesn't prove you have met in person within 2 years.

Sorry. It's difficult to understand what stage of this you are in. If your fiance is the US citizen as you say, I am not sure where this "2nd biometrics schedule" come into situation. If he is the US citizen, filed a I-129f petition, and it was denied, he would refile that. However, you two would have to wait again for the adjudication which is currently at 5 months. If you have been waiting longer than that, you can call USCIS to put in a service request. As Illiria mentioned, you should be able to simply ask your fiance for the Notice of Action receipt he would have obtained within two weeks of refiling. Hopefully, you guys can work that out between you. I'm sure you are already aware that trust is a major part of a marriage's foundation. Feel free to clarify so we can help you more. I'm just not sure what he filed and what he was missing.

For the K1 - We weren't asked about an engagement date. They DID ask when we plan to get married, when we first met, how many times we had met/visited each other. It's good to be on the same page with those dates. Agree on an engagement date too if it helps you feel better. Can't guarantee it won't be asked, but I haven't seen any trouble with this.

For AOS - We sent exactly what was asked of us. We sent the marriage certificate. We had already sent in more than enough evidence to show we were a genuine couple with the I-129f. Can't speak about rings because we didn't get an interview. We had a civil wedding less than a month after arrival around the date we agreed upon at the K-1 interview. Less than 10 people were there. Two years later, we had a grand renewing of vows ceremony for her and her family.

Seems like you guys have it together. Knowing pertinent dates is always a good thing, but don't stress over the wedding so much. Just do it, show that you've done it, and plan for any future gatherings at your own leisure without the pressure of this process.

"Frontloading" as it is called is what you are asking about. As your fellow UK petitioners have mentioned, it doesn't seem necessary for your case. It really depends on the embassy. All that is required of anyone at this point is providing evidence of meeting within 2 years of filing. We frontloaded providing all the things others have mentioned because of the high fraud reputation of the Philippines. In our case, it was an excellent idea as we were both also present at the interview, and the interview was over in 2 minutes. They didn't ask to see anything that we had already sent in. If the UKers say you don't need to, take the advice.

For fields that doesn't apply though, does it have to have a N/A? Example for part 5, can I just type N/A to child 1's first and last name and bday, then leave the address and child 2-5 information blank, so with part 9-10, N/A for the name and the rest leave it blank. Thanks

I try to follow the instructions as closely as possible. I know with other forms I filled it was a little "N/A" and a little "blank". Since so much of this form doesn't apply to us, I think I will probably fill in what I need to fill on the computer, print it, sign it, and fill in blank areas with "N/A". On the computer, the form will only allow "NA" and not the forward slash character. Certain parts won't even allow "NA" if a number is expected or something along those lines. Those areas would probably be fine left blank, but you can always print and fill in the "N/A"s after.
