Do you mean packet 3? If so, you can get a head start by going here http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/fianceforms.html and downloading the instructions and forms, filling them out and gathering the required info.
Hi. thanks a lot!
I will going directly to the consulate on 13 september to get my visa appointment letter cause my fiance is leaving to Houston on octuber and we want to leave together, we dont want to wait longer. We have al documents ready, we hire a lawyer but has not been to much helpfull cause we still having a lot of doubs, she told us that we need to notarize the letter of intent of marry but we never heard heard in VJ nothing about it. Is that normal?

Hi,
Does the intent to marry letter need to be notarized? We are here in mexico and we called the notary to ask about the notary signature and they told us just for the one signature it would cost almost 200 dollars, is this normal? should we find another one cheaper than that? Or is it that big of a deal and even need to be notarized?
Thanks for your input

I am a former police officer and government employee. I have experience with filing legal forms, representing myself in court, testifying, etc. I know the legal system and basically have had no trouble with not having an attorney before. My question is this, will having an attorney speed up the process at all?
Hi
My fiance and I decide to hire an attorney but I dont feel was helpfull I had more information here (visajourney) that from them, my advice is do not waste your money, do the procedure by yourself is better and easier.
Good luck!!

"800" numbers typically only work inside the USA... Why do you need to call them... USCIS has a field office in Mexico
Hello
Thanks for your help! I didnt know that thereis an office in Mexico
I would like to call them just to check if everything its ok, our concern is that my boyfriend is working and living in Mexico his work finish and he leaves late October, we would like to leave together, we want to ask USCIS if there is a way to make faster the proceeding, if we can send them more evidence, or whatever to be sure that my interview in the consulate will be before october, we are 26 and 29 years old, we have been together in Mexico for more than a year, never married, no childs, he has a good job, I have no criminal records, I have never been in United States, we dont think we will have any problem getting the visa but we would like to be done on that date.

I had the same problem from Colombia even though I was using a calling card (and, therefore technically, paying for the call).
I don't know if you have access to a computer with a broadband connection but I discovered that Skype allows the 800 calls to US numbers to go through with no problem - and for free, BTW.
Thank you! I will try again by Skype

Hello everyone
We are doing the Visa K1 procedures threw an attorney when we got the NOA2 on august 10th they said that after 4 weeks I can go directly to the consulate to get my packet 4 and invitation letter, we got all requirements ready and we bought the flight tickets but lawyer sent us an email saying that I have to wait for an invitation letter before to go to the consulate in Ciudad Juarez Mexico.
Im confused because in VJ says that I can just walk in if I am ready, I tried to call to the embassy but no one number worked. I dont know what else to do, I want to be done with all this waiting, is killing me! My fiance lives in Mexico with me his job will be over in the first week of October and we would like to leave together/
Please help us any comment and advice is very appreciated! Thanks
