    Does anybody know what the length of time between the medical exams at St. Luke's and the interview date should be? When calling the embassy, they told my fiance 3 to 4 days, but when I called, they told me 2 weeks.

      Glad to hear! My fiance will go in for her medical on March 1. Same with us, February was too early, so we chose March 16.

    How long did it take for everyone's packet of information to reach your fiance, after the NVC sent your petition to the embassy? Next week, it will be one month. It seems like an awfully long time, but maybe it's just because of the holdays.

      I believe the usem letter is the letter from the embassy that states you are eligible to schedule your interview. The nvc letter is from the National Visa Center. This comes before the usem, and it says that that the NVC has received the petition and will soon forward it onto the embassy.

      Hi Corilene, yes, next you should receive the letter from the NVC in about a week or so, stating that they received your petition. Soon after that, it will be forwarded to the Embassy.

      We have paid the fee and by tomorrow we will schedule her interview. It will probably be around the Feb 28 or Mar 1. Hopefully they'll still have time slots opened for around those dates.

      Anyway, my fiancee is going to pay the visa fee this week and then schedule her interview. That visa fee is quite expensive. I hope that you get everything resolved!

      Sorry to hear about your difficulties, asianmom. I'm glad you finally got your USEM. I actually just got mine today as well. It took a long time, because my NOA2 was dated Dec 9, it reached the NVC on Dec 17, the embassy notice was dated Jan 5, and today, Jan 24, we finally received it...

      Regarding the medical, my fiancee was told that it takes 1 to 2 days, and it takes 3 to 4 days to process it. She is planning on staying in Manila for a little more than a week, because of this. How about you? Have you scheduled your interview yet and are you done with your medical?

      ...but Singapore no longer issues clearance reports for non-Singaporeans. We've tried contacting everyone about this to find out what she needs to do. We are getting a lot of conflicting answers and nobody at the embassy seems to know the answer...

      Also, we have another situation that we are trying to find out some information. She lived in a foreign country, for longer than 6 months, and as such she is required to obtain a police report from that country to bring to her interview...

      No, my fiance is going to schedule her interview sometime this week. She called the embassy yesterday about the packet/notice, and the embassy said they sent it out back in the middle of December to both me and her. Even though we haven't received it yet, we just went to the website to get the instructions.

      Thanks Lance! Yeah, I did some searches last night too, and it was just confusing because some people said they got packets, while others did not, but I guess they don't send them out anymore. Asianmom, I called the embassy, but they don't really help. It seems like they only know how to schedule interviews, and that's about it. I received my notice from the NVC, which was dated Dec 17. I'll just go ahead and tell my fiance to download the instructions and then schedule ...

    Is anybody else confused about the i-134? I've been reading posts that say to provide bank statements and certain docs have to be notarized, but the actual i-134 form doesn't specify this. I make above the 125% poverty line for two people, and so far I have last year's tax return, the last 3 paycheck stubs, and a signed letter from my employer. Anybody have any advice on this?

    Called USCIS today on our 5 month mark. They said they will forward the case to the office and said will take within 30 days for them to reply. #######? FML!!!

    NOA2!!! Just got it in the mail today!! The USCIS website still hasn't updated my status, so I didn't think I would have it by this afternoon, but I did! I will pray that everyone else will receive theirs by Christmas.

      Just got the NOA2 today! Have you gotten a touch yet? I've been looking my case status every day on the USCIS website, and they never sent out a touch notification to my email, eventhough I'm signed up, and they haven't updated my status yet, but I received the NOA2 in the mail today.
