  1. Hi,

I brought my wife into the US on a K1 visa and she is not a green card holder. I have an offer to work in South Korea (her home country) as an expat for an American bank. My question is how would this affect complicate the visa process? I will change our permanent address to my mom's address in CO so all of our paper work can be processed there. Would the US look unkindly on her petition if we both live in South Korea for a while?

Her 2-Year GC expires next year and we would need to apply to remove the conditions at that point.

Thank you very much for your help.

  2. Ok now you all gotta explain. Why you kept on saying a person could go visit their fiancee during the visa process. when i went and called 10000 people without telling them who I was and my situation and some yes and they all said no you cant go! Why you all said this? Did the rules change? did all of you went like long time ago and you could and now you cant? because ive heard and been told so many rules changed lord you cant keep up. they keep on changing and they keep on getting ruder and ruder. Anyways if you aint the one determined and push for answers and info no one aint gonna give it to you neither the ones who are paid to do so and are obliged. like the gov, cbp officers, poe officers ect. anwyays let me all know ur opinions on this and all. guess i gotta wait for my visa to be approved. :( thanks

My fiancee just came to the States from Korea during her I-29f processing. We thought we'd have about 3 months together, but she was approved for the visa the day she entered the States. She had no problem getting through customs though. Be sure to bring evidence of the return ticket.
