      I sent my AOS papers in 05/17/11My wife received her Green Card 08/01/2011. We are now applying for her 10 year card and should get approval any day now.

    What part of NC? I am from Greensboro NC My fiancee is going for her interview this K1 week so I cannot help with AOS. Sorry.

    Just got the Interview date! March 16th 9AM!!

      They mailed it with Packet 4. I was able to call DOS and get the date about three days before she got packet 4. My Fiancee is in Singapore so I know it is not the same in every country.

    Passed the medical now it is time to send back the checklist and get an interview date!

      I am the petioner so I will answer this in English. My Fiancée is from the Philippines and is living in Singapore. In Singapore they send you an instruction checklist and medical information in Packet 3. You have to get the medical done and then verify you have all the documents and then you send them back the completed checklist and then they contact you with the interview date.

      No I actually tried calling them and could not get anywhere with that so I emailed them and to my surprise they emailed me back in about 5 hours.

      You can also call DOS at 202.663.1225 then 1, 5, 0. I was on hold for 20 minutes but they do seem to know what is going on with the case at the embassy.

    My case left the NVC yesterday and is on the way to the US embassy in Singapore.

    Wow! So it does go faster now. NVC received and is working on my case as of today. They gave me the NVC case number and said it should be at the Embassy next week!

      Actually I got the text and email at the same time and then I checked the website. In he week before this I called my congressman and both of my senators. All three of them checked on the case and said it had been assigned to someone. I also called twice and had a service ticket put in. Not sure if any of that helped but that is what I did.

    Thanks! Good luck to you too. It has been pretty hard to watch it all slow down. Hopefully our time is coming soon. I was hoping for a Valentines Day arrival of my Fiance but I guess we will have to wait and see.
