I have been quiet reader. For IR-5 my last checklsit scan date was Nov 10th. I saw 3 n/a on Dec 31st.

I called nvc that evening with my dad's case # and I was told by rep tht they need a statement from me why I did not send parents marriage certificate whereas i am 110% sure i sent (i.e., was reason for checklist) and to also explain why there is affadavit for marriage.

I called again half an hour later now with my mom's case now they are saying my case has not be reviewed.

I am completely confused although I see 3 n/a's in both cases.

What should I be doing at this point?

You had your WL on the 13th day after your POE.

Today is my wife's 16th day after POE. Still no WL.

Haven't checked today's mail yet. Maybe it's in the mailbox waiting for me. I'll update you later on tonight or tomorrow.

With my luck, it's still not here.

we received ours i think on 17th day. Also, the letter was dated 11th day frm POE date. So, don't worry u'll have it in this week.

First day at work after coming back today. I couldn't be happier with my wife than I am now. She's lovely and very charming--made with sugar, spice, and everything nice.

I had a great time in Bangladesh. Of the 8 days, I stayed at my in-laws for 6 days. I was treated like a royalty. It was embarrassing. My wife's mother and father are good people. May they be eternally blessed.

Now life it awesome except for the family drama that is sure to follow and has started following. Loto will know exactly what I'm talking about if he or his wife are avid fan of Indian drama serials. I hope things don't run that amok. My mother is upset that my wife got her a saree which appears to be cheap. I'm going to go all religious up yours now. In Islam, Muslims are taught that when someone gifts you even the useless hoof shaving of a goat, you are accept it with grace and thank the gift giver. Apparently this is one part of Islam, a few member of my family (and probably the whole Indian culture) has decided to not follow. Well my friends, should you ever gift me even the pus of your wound, then I shall thank you and return in kinds. CHANGE starts with me and with those whom I have influence over, namely my wife.

Good to know u r happy. I agree w/ you on tht gift thing. Marriage is definitely a juggle now tht I live w/ my parents its much easier thn living w/ in-laws. I would blame Indian drama serials for sure esp w/ women bc thts where thy learn more drama from. I think for peace this kind of shows should be banned.

@ Debby glad to know u r finally havin re-union n u prepared w/ coat n stuff. Hopefully, no more cold weather. When my husband came I took a coat n insisted he wear it he is like no it doesn't feel cold as soon as he stepped out he is like now I definitely need it.

Yes, to get UI benefit, employer must terminate the employee. So, wait until then.

Meanwhile, you can start searching the new job through your contacts, job sites, local newspapers etc. To choose the next position is up to your taste, 786india!

I am really confused about my career plans. Well my job was extended till Feb 14th now I am not sure if they will extend if further. If thy do I don't want to be a temp employee.

yup I tried that link earlier. I have asked my travel agents. Let see. Personally I would carry least baggage possible. Lets see. Mom-in-law wants extra baggage so she can send all sis-in-law stuff in tht excess baggage. No wonder y I am not so fond of her. Thank god I am not the 1 traveling w/ excess baggage.

Nope its Kuwait bc whn I went to buy tickets for Emirates for $715 there were no seats left.

My Update finally bought ticket for $ 672 through my travel agent was able to negotiate and save $48 but if she matched the price could have saved another $4.2 but I did not want 2 be cheap GJ gal and break their loyal customer base and said OK.
