I have no experience in regards to the laws in India (assuming that is where the children live) but at my interview, the CO told me that I HAD to have either custody documents that stated SOLE custody or I had to have a notarized letter from my ex, giving me express permission to bring my son to the US to live.

    Thank God, I have the sole custody docs so I had no problems.

  2. get a notarized permission letter from the mother allowing the children to immigrate permanently to the USA

    I do get visittions for kids during holidays thrice a year ... the kids are keen to immigrate and will say so in the Interview .. just the X will only give a letter suggesting she is ok with the father (that is me ) to apply for a green card on behalf of the children.. please advise
