Sooo....I called DOS today and they said as of yesterday i was "ELIGABLE" to get an appointment for MTL. But that they will mail the instructions to me ONE month prior to the date of my appointment and that this will take "months" to get to me. I was under the impression we could now book our own appointments online. Seems like every time i call there i get a different answer. And everytime they tell me months it is done in a week. Anyone know what is really going on and if i can really book my own appointment. I would hate to wait for the letter and prolong the appointment date for nothing.

I gave them the last 5 times i went there since i have my vacation requests from work to show i went there.

the letter did reference a check list. and i had seen the actual check list with the listed items and you check beside it online here someone but cant find it now. i called DOS.. NO help they told me to email the consulate but didn't have the email address. I finally found it and emailed them the whole situation and they responded with " the check list was enclosed in your letter" IT WASN'T. I did find a mock up check list i printed off and will use in stead.

I finally recv'd my packet 3 in the mail from Montreal, however there was NO check list enclosed. Just the letter with the forms i need to fill out online and the required documents but not a check list like everyone on here has stated. Does this mean i dont have to send anything in? or did they forget to send it in my package? how do i find out? With the new system online its hard to know what has changed. Any help would be amazing becuase i dont want to send what i do have if it is missing paperwork and end up delaying things.

I didnt rec'v a check list with my pack 3 and now im freaking out because I have no idea what else to send with it. what do i do???

they also forgot to include it in my package as well

In my packet 3 i didnt rec'v a check list? So i have no idea what is needed to send back to them other then the DS156, 160 and 230... Does anyone know what is on the check list or is it different for each applicant???

Im waiting for packet 3 to arrive and i'd like to gather anything i need now while im waiting so the turn around time is as quick as possible... I need to do something to keep my self busy this waiting is insane.

so if anyone has a list of whats needed for packet 3 that would be great
