  1. Both clinics are within walking distance of the consulate. We heard that the one closest to the consulate is very busy, so my fiance went to the other one and had no problems. He was out by about 8 or 8:30.

  2. I think income proof becomes more of an issue after you are married and filing AOS...but it doesn't hurt to cover all your bases.

  3. Danilu,

In answer to your question about the tax return, I was a student all of 2009 and did note file taxes and haven't filed my taxes for 2010 this year. I gave them my W2 for 2010 and recent pay stubs. My mom is co-sponsoring so we both filled out I-134s and she gave her tax return for 2009, recent pay stubs and 2010 W2...both of us got letters from our employer.

  4. Hi,

Juliem is right. There are long pauses after some of the instructions on the CDJ number; you just have to wait and the recording will continue.

  5. Hi, in answer to your question about the "intent to marry" form, we had printed the one from the consulate website the last time I visited my fiance. We are taking that one and one that we had written. I can't get to the instructions or that form anymore. I think that only my fiance needs this and he will have to sign it at the consulate. Will let you know what happens.

  6. The number to call to find out about the letter or just to get visa information is 703 439 2313 from the US. You need the beneficiaries passport number and your CDJ case#.

  7. I have heard that the beneficiary can go and get the letter printed out at the information window.

  8. Talked with the consulate today. They said they mailed the letter to my address in the US on the 21st. Is this the usual process? I thought they would mail it to my fiance in Mexico.

  9. Called the consulate today...they mailed the letter on Jan 21...said it takes about 10 days and was mailed to my address here in the US.

  10. NVC should have given you the case number, which is also on the notice NVC sends you. When you get that (it starts with the letters CDJ) you can call the visa information number, and they can tell you if the consulate has received it. I think it must all be electronic, so it's probably there.703 439 2313 is the number from the US.

Please let me know if you hear anything...Thanks.

  11. Hello, our petition was received at the consulate on Dec 8, and we haven't heard anything from them yet. Have you gotten you letter from them yet? Hope to hear something soon!

  12. Congradulations on your NOA2...this gives me hope that ours will be coming soon!

  13. I called today since it had been 5 months and was told to wait 38 more days before a service request could be put into the service center. The guy was very nice, but said my petition is still within the normal processing time and will not be outside that time until Dec 4th or 5th. Hope you hear something soon.

  14. I'm a May filer still waiting, also. Have you contacted USCIS? If so, did they give you any helpful info or explaination for the delay?

  15. Have you gotten your NOA 2?
