  1. hi everyone ...not sure if i'm posting in the right forum but i would really appreciate an answer to my question.maybe someone who has traveled from the caribbean can help.i live in the caribbean & would love to know if my POE must be san juan, puerto rico when i move to the us next month.or can i process my green card at the first port i arrive(which probably would be JFK).

  2. hi everyone. i recently received my cr-1 visa & i'm planning to move to the states in a month.my isssue is that my wife was at a temporary address which is the address stated on all documents filed to USCIS & NVC.she is now back at her old(previous) address.after crossing my POE which address will my green card be mailed to?or is there anyone i can inform of this change?

  3. today is a great day.it's my wife's 27th birthday(usc petitioner).tried to sign in to department of state's payment site & i was elated to see my login failed.so i immediately called nvc & to my surprise our case is complete.what a coincidence huh?we submitted all our documents on august 4 2010.based on recent nvc timelines i thought we'd be looking at a 2 month wait for case completion.now we just wait for the interview letter.does anyone have any idea how long this will take?any chance of october interview?thanks to all vj users...you guys have been great!!!!

  4. good day to all vj users.i have a tiny question which i hope to get an answer for here.my wife recently sent in our packet with i-864 & ds230 to the nvc.when i called nvc yesterday the avr stated that they received our documents on august 4 & that we should give them 6-8 weeks to go over our documents.my questions are:

1.she sent the afidavit of support & ds230 in 1 packet with a barcode sheet.should this cause any problems as i have never come across any other persons who sent one package?

2.lately i've been reading that the nvc is experiencing a heavy influx of applications & that they are taking longer to complete cases.is there any truth to this?if so how long should we expect to hear case completion?

  5. hi everyone.i'm new to this forum & this is my first post.i'm currently at the nvc stage but in the process of gathering evidence for interview at barbados embassy.this is what i have so far:

    3.emails

    4.chat logs & web chats

5.2 sworn affidavits from friends & family

    6.money gram receipts

7.my wife's phone records showing how often she calls
