Hi everyone, my situation is this.i've been with my husband for 8 years, married for 5, i just received my 10 year green card, we are going thru a separation now he is telling me he will say our marriage was fake, his sister was my joint sponsor and now she wants to withdraw the application..my question is is there anything that they can do to affect my status? i didnot get married because of the green card, but i would like to stay..somebody told my sister in law that he can just sign a paper saying that she's out..can they really do that? and if they say my marriage was a fake(wich it wasnt) immigration will let me prove them wrong..or at least defend myself? thank you.

my husband is a us citizen,im in process of adjust of status. my husband adopted my 8 yr son in mexico,my husband hes been with us since my son was just a couple months old. what do we need to do next? can my son become a us citizen? what is the procedure we have to follow?, thank you again for your help.

Hi, regarding with your questions, it is advisable to ask an immigration lawyer.

Definitely you need his passport and if he lost it, contact the embassy of Mexico on how to replace it.

I am sure it's not an easy task because you have to provide some documents and reports how his passport got

lost.

I'VE BEEN MARRIED WITH MY WIFE(BIOLOGICAL MOTHER) FOR 5 YEARS BUT TOGETHER FOR 7YEARS, SHE IS IN THE IR-1 PROCESS AND WE ARE GATHERING PAPERWORK TO SEND WITH THE DS-230. I STARTED AN STEPPARENT ADOPTION CASE IN CALIFORNIA AND WE WERE WAITING UNTIL THE SOCIAL WORKER TOLD US THAT WE CAN NOT CONTINUE BECAUSE HE HAS NO SSN, SO THAT CASE WILL STAY OPEN UNTIL HE GETS ONE..WILL THIS BE A PROBLEM WITH THE PETITION? I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP BECAUSE I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.
