  1. Hello everyone,

I need help/advice on what to do about my son's case. I am married when I went to Canada to work as a caregiver ( but separated like 4 yrs) I met my American husband there. Then I filed for a divorce in Canada which got approved and after that I married my American husband. We got married in NY. After our marriage my husband petitioned me and it got approved. After a year I moved to New York. Then my husband petitioned my son who is in the Philippines. But during my son's interview the consul in Manila asked for an annulment paper which I don't have. My father ( who accompany my son to his interview forgot to show the divorce paper he have) Thank God they let him in again after he left the embassy the day of the interview. But he talk to a different person where he was able to show the divorce paper. That person fr the embassy gave my father a paper saying that the embassy need further administrative review of the document( divorce paper). Now my question is does anyone knows how long the administrative review will take? And do I need to file for annulment in the Philippines? The American Consulate in Montreal accepted my divorce paper (that's why I was able to move to the States and become an immigrant) Will the American consulate in the Philippines accept my divorce paper too? Knowing that there's no divorce in the Philippines?

Pls help I need advice on what to do and what to expect.I have been away from my son for 7 years now and I want to be with him.

    Thank you

  2. I need help or advice about my son's petition. I am a Filipina who is married in the Philippines but I divorce my Filipino husband in the Philippines when I was in Canada. Then I married my American fiancee( we got married in the US), then after our marriage he petitioned me. His petition got approved and I moved to US. After I moved here in the States my American husband petitioned my son who is living in the Philippines. It got approved and my son just had his interview last June 10th at the American Embassy in Manila but he didn't get visa yet because the Consul asked for an annulment paper. My father gave them my divorce paper but they are not convince yet. They said that the case needs further administrative review...

So what to do what to do????

  3. I'm new here... I'm just wondering if there's somebody out here who can help me or tell me how to contact the American consulate in Montreal. I know email is the best option but it has been 6 weeks and I didn't get a response from them. I need to get my passport back so I can request for a police clearance fr. another country where I worked for a couple of years. I did request for a police clearance 5 months before my interview and I was shocked on my interview because I was told that I don't have my police clearance since I was assured 5 months ago that they sent it already.

I want to know how can I get my passport back I tried all the possible ways I know.

Can I just walk-in to the consulate and ask if they can give it back to me?

I'm really stressed out about this and I don't know what to do.

How will I contact the consulate and get an answer?

    thank you....
