Hello everyone, first of I would like to thank you everyone for helping me out during the application process. My wife has been to the US for 3 weeks now. Thank you again.
I have a question about tax claim. We got married in Jan 2010. She came here on Feb 24, 2011 and just got her SSN last week. I am going to file 2010 Tax soon. But I wonder if I can claim her. Thank you in advance.
PS: I was sending money back to supporting her before she came to the U.S if it could be any help. Thank you again.

Hello everyone.
My case is completed in August 24, 2010. Normally, it only takes about a week after the completion date for NVC to schedule interview date for case in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. However, for some reason they has been really slow on it lately. It has been 3 months and no interview date has been scheduled yet. I have checked with other HCM cases and most people who are completed in September already have interview date? I called NVC and they asked me to wait. I thought interview date is scheduled in completion order. Anyway, I don't know if they forget my case or not? What should I do? Thank you in advance.

I sent my package in July 16. Now it's more than a month. Called and still get the same answer "wait 4-6 weeks because we can not do it faster anymore."

Darnell our expedited was warranted but they keep saying "just wait" never give a determinate date
Tvalentina "a week " this makes me feel better ... 4-6 weeks too much!!!
feeling happy now
Anyone with some expedite experience at NVC?
I have sent in every thing in mid July and it still processing/still reviewing. I have talked to them numerous time and all they said is "please wait for 6-8 weeks". It has been 4 weeks for me already. I feel so frustrated but nothing I can do.

I have sent in I-864 and DS-230 about a month ago. I've checked VJ wiki and talked with several other people and most of them those two packages were reviewed and completed about a week or two after received. Anyone else is waiting too? I sent them in early in July.

It also depends on Processing Center too. I've sent my I-130 to California Processing Center on March 5th. And it's approved on June 26th. Sometimes in June, I called USCIS. One of them had told me to wait at least 6 months. I didn't give up and called again. This time I talked with a nicer rep and explained my situation and he said that he'll try to help me out. A few days later, I received approved email from them. Maybe it's just pure coincident. But who knows what can they do. Good luck with your case.

Hello everyone.
I have paid online AOS Fee $70 exactly a week ago (July 8th). Yet the status still shows IN PROCESS. I've checked my bank and they already withdraw the money on July 9th. I called NVC and they said that they still haven't seen any update on the payment. But on July 13th, NVC replied to our DS-3032 and asked us to pay $404. We paid online and it's paid today. Can we use this Document Cover Sheet for both I-864 and DS-230 since I don't want to wait for the AOS fee to clear. I see that there is nothing special on the document cover sheet beside the barcode; thus, I guess it would be ok to use it for both. But I just want to make sure.
And a second question: Is it ok to send a copy of pay stub or is it has to be original?
Thank you so much.

the minimum requirment is based on gross earnings not net. so your fine
But line 22 on my tax return only show $12k. I will request IRS for the copy of tax transcript to see what they have put in there. Thank you anyway though.

Thank you everyone.
Im a bit confused, Does self-employed income need deduction form their toltal income? How it calculate?I made around $26k that year. But I just started my business that year also; thus I needed to buy bunch of equipments and spent a lot as business expenses. And I subtracted those expenses from my total income. In the end, I only made around $12K net profit.

Hello everybody
I am sorry for opening this topic but I couldn't find any related topic in the forum that would answer my question. I'm preparing the I-864 and I know that it required 3 years incomes. However, I've read numerous posts saying that the current and latest income are most important. For my current income I've put down what I'm earning this year which is around 33k. For 2009, my income is about 30k. In 2008, my income is around $26k but I was self-employed that year. Thus, the adjusted income after tax deduction is around 12k which is way below the requirement. And here is my questions: should I included 2008 income into my form? Do I need a co-sponsor for my case (this is worst case scenario)? and if I included 2008 income and also submitting a document explaining all the tax deduction, would that help my case? Thank you so much for your time and consideration.
PS: My wife is in Vietnam.

Thank you. That's what I meant. But since she is not in the States during 2010, would I still be able to file jointly for 2010 Tax ? Sorry if the question is stupid.
