  1. I agree with Admire My PS, my fiancé had the yellow paper on Monday Oct 4, in Yaoundé because she had only one copy of DS-156. So they gave her the Yellow slip and asked her to bring the copy the following day. When she got there at 1pm, her visa was approved.

I followed most of the advice I got from Admire My PS and our case was very easy, we had tons of emails, yahoo chats/voice, skype chats and call logs, phone call logs (calling cards will not prove anything), I also had 4 affidavits of Bona fide relationship (from her mom, brother, and my 2 friends), we had screen shots of both of us on webcam (skype and yahoo messenger), money gram receipts.

Mark you, we had ONLY 3 photos together that we took last December, at the time, I did not know if I was going to do the K-1 or go back to marry in cameroon.

All these other evidences made our case.

    Hope this helps.

  2. ANOTHER APPROVAL, SHE WILL BE HERE SOON

I will like to extend my gratitude to all the VJ family for all the help and consolations my fiancée and I have enjoyed from you all up to her visa approval.

Our interview was yesterday and all went well. She had only one copy of DS-156 and she was asked to bring a second copy today at 1pm, which she did.

The visa was approved yesterday though.

Good luck to you all and hope you too will enjoy the smile this joy one day

  3. I am from Cameroon too. We are still waiting to have an interview date. My fiancé and I do not have a lot of pictures too but what we have been saving as evidence are emails, skype call records, phone records (calling card does not prove anything, mark u), money gram receipts that I send money to her frequently, yahoo chat logs and screen shots of us on video calls. If I were u, these are what I will be saving forward. You may also want to visit her within this period, it will be worth it. Take more pictures then.

Good luck and please fill you timeline and embassy experience to help others help u.

  4. my thoughts to you is send the benef needs to go there in person and pick it up. Call early hours when the office just opens. What number are you using to call the embassy?

Thanks for you reply, that is what I was planning on doing too. She will have to go to the Embassy in person. I normally call using this number (237) 2220 1500. Is there there a better one?

  5. My K-1 petition was approved and left the NVC on July 28, 2010. Since then I have not been able to get any correspondent with the US Embassy in Yaoundé-Cameroon. The postal system is not the best and I know it will be very difficult to get our package via the Cameroon postal system. Does anyone have any idea how the Yaoundé embassy deals with sending out packages? Do I have to have my fiancé do a walk-in and pick up the instruction package?

I have called the Yaoundé Embassy several times but cannot get anyone to talk to. I have also sent a couple of emails but no replies yet. Do I just keep waiting???

    Help please……….

  6. Hey Thanks for pointing out the date error. My petition left NVC on July 28. I have emailed the embassy in Yaounde, cameroon twice now but no reply. Its just not even possible to get anyone on the phone. I will do the forms. Thanks for your reply. Am sure there should be other people with a similar problem. I don't know what to think about this embassy.
