The instruction on the State department clearly says in my case, tax transcript is sufficient.  It is also common-consensus that tax transcript is superior to tax return.  I have no idea what happened but people should just submit all three to not waste time unnecessarily.

 

 

I had the same issue. I guess its a new requirement - I submitted the Tax Transcript initially and then they sent an RFE saying I need W-2 for me and the wife and also 1040. I guess this will be a new requirement moving forward.

This question may have been asked a couple of time before but I just need a little bit clarification. I am a U.S. Citizen and want to file for my younger brother, I am well aware of the 12 to 15 year wait. I have the following documents ready -

1. I-130 form

2. My birth certificate

3. My US passport copy

4. My brothers birth certificate

5. Filling fee $420

Is there any other form or documents I require prior to mailing the package to USCIS ?

I have a bachelors and a master's in the aviation field Plus my ATP. You do not need to be a citizen to work in the aviation industry in America. I do not know where you are getting all this false information from. You have to be a Citizen only if u want to work for the FAA or NTSB or for a company that is contracted to a US defense project. I suggest you start off has a Flight instructor and work your way up. If you have not done any internships in the aviation field then getting a job can be very difficult because the aviation field has always been a very competitive field and once your in you never really shift careers.

Can't take an oath before 3 years of residency anyway... Interviews I guess depend on local office workload, I think that I have pretty good chance of interview this year looking at limited N400 timelines in Cincinnati available.

Not changing name, been given one I have, see no reason to change it.

I am passed the 3 years residency point and Jacksonville, FL timeline is 5 months but then again thats just an estimate.

Claytlin--that's fast! So you don't know the date yet, just that you're in line? I wonder if we'll have our interviews this year. Judging by other months timelines, we might! :-)

BTW, is anyone else changing their name? Someone told me the process takes longer then. I'm guessing the waiting won't be longer for an interview, but between interview and oath...

After the Biometrics you get put in line for an Interview date. As of now, the status just says that you are in line and from looking at July and August filers, you most probably will get an update on the case after 45-60 days.

Was put in line for Interview. Updating with date. Additionally, I did not receive any text message or email notification, just checked the status on the USCIS website at random and found out that I was put in line.

I believe your confusing Police Clearance Certificate with Passport Clearance Certificate. I did the K-1 about three years ago, you need to request a PCC from the passport office and not the local police station.

We have been living in GA for the past three years (since we got married K-1). We are moving to FL towards the end of April/beginning of May. My eligibility date to file the N-400 is around the end of May. I was wondering, when we move does that mean I would have to wait till the end of August 2014 to file the N-400 ?
