you still have to fill for AOS and EAD for your fiancee to start working. it will take you 2 to 4 months on the average to get the approval. :-)

Hi I just arrived in the US a month ago. I'm on IR-1 visa and I just received my greencard and now i'm trying to find a job. How long were you able to find a job since you arrived here? and does it work to just send applications online? thanks
Hi. Sending online appications works. Just make sure that you have an american standard resume. Try to look for entry level jobs first then go from there. It also helps if you can communicate very well. Go to company websites and look for open positions on their career section. Also try to go indeed.com, snagajob.com, careerbuilder.com. Volunteering is also big help for, based on my experience. Its a way for me to network to people. :-)

I dont think its a good idea to send those receipts together with other evidence of genuine relationship for your K1 visa application. USCIS might think of it as a red flag.

Received my Permanent Resident Card in the mail today. Done with the USCIS for at least the next one year and some months. Now job hunting, any ideas on where to look for jobs? I wish the rest of us all the best in their journey.
try indeed.com. that site is very helpful for me. i would suggest that you apply to entry level job first if you dont have any US work experience yet and go from there. good luck. :-)

you'll be fine..have a safe trip :-)

Received my EAD card today! So freaking happy, I'm going to the DMV tomorrow to get that California driver's license I've so desperately wanted
So relieved that I can now start work and that I'll be able to drive
To those still waiting, hang on! It's frustrating but you'll get there eventually!
were you able to find a job already? how did it goes? :-)

Was your case transferred to CSC?
yes, it was. i even thought before that there would be a delay on the approval since i had my biometrics twice. but yeah..USCIS is pretty quick right now.

Hi everyone. Anyone here who applied at the Bank of America? Pls share us your experiences specially with their background check procedures? How they go about it in our case as immigrants? I believe they really make a very thorough background checks with your employment and education references. As immigrants here in the US, all our experiences are foreign. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you.:-)

Yes, you need to go to a civil surgeon to have your vaccination from St. Lukes be transcribed and have it transferred to your I-694.

I have fallen in love with the New England area, we have just been to Boston & Maine for Christmas and trying to convince my husband to move to Portsmouth, NH. We are in long Island NY right now and would love to now how it's like living in NH, how much is a 4 bedroom or 3 bedroom house, school districts and the cost of living.
Thanks in advance for the info.
hey com'on an golf with us this summer. :-) regarding the houses here,i dont have any idea how much it cost..cost of living is fair enough..there's a lot of good schools and universities here in New England..we have Darthmouth in New Hamsphire and Harvard in Mass..

Hi there Don and Grace. Yep, you can still get your SSN 14 days before your I-94 expires. But you are right, you cant work without it together with your EAD or your green card. By the way, you look familiar to me. I think we had our medical at St. Lukes on the same day, August 18 and 19 last year. Are you from Cebu too?
Lets talk about job oppurtunities in the USA!
