I didn't even have second thoughts about copying and sending all of mine. If that is what they wanted that is what they got. No biggie.

At St. Lukes they do the xray first and if they don't see anything or suspect you were exposed then you won't have to do a sputum.
My wife did medical last week and after they got the results from the xray she was done with the rest of the medical quick.

1 month? Man what made you think you could handle a LDR to begin with! Its been a month since i filed and already i feel like i am separated for years from my spouse. this separation is causing a strain on our lives for sure.

Hi Rob, yeah ours came on the 11th. We hope the rest of your jouney goes well.
-
We got an interview date letter. That is good enough for us.
-
The NVC has my attorney's, mine, and my wife's email addresses so we all got the same message. The last notification was for the interview date.
-
My wifes interview is March 11.

I just called the AVR and found out the case was completed on Feb. 1, though I just found out yesterday from the attorney's paralegal contacting them about a RFE they sent to her. So that is one week scratched off the wait time for the interview letter.
-
Today the NVC notifed my attorney they had all the documents they needed and the case was complete. I have a SIF to verify it was true.
The email was in response to an inquiry the paralegal sent to NVC questioning their request for a new DS -230 part 1.
The response was 'forget it we have all we need'.
So my wife will be getting an interview date next.

Oh they don't any more phone calls jamming up their lines so why don't we take up a collection and send them a nice Ferrari instead!

Just a glitch somewhere is why you couldn't get thru. Sometimes when I call to my wife it will ring and ring and not connect. Then a few minutes later when I call it will go thru. Especiallly with a CP.
The PRESS 1 thing I got for the Haiti situation before. Usually on the weekend.
Just keep trying to call.

I am so sorry men are bastards..anyways
Spoken like a true feminist.
Mariah it sounds like you have some serious concerns. I wish you the best.

Or a student fluent in Spanish, post it on the bullentin board at the college. Do you attend church there in Big D? If so you should know someone.
-
Congratulations BigJohn. I wish you both well.

That's an airport tax and everyone has to pay it. 750 PHP is what I had to pay at Manila. I forgot what I had to pay at Mactan in 2008.

All of my documents were certified. I don't have any of my originals from divorce, birth, and other court documents. All a notrary public does is witness your signature.

We received a message from the NVC on Sept. 24, 2010 closing our I-129F petition. They are finishing on our CR1/IR/1 petition now. We should be hearing from then soon.

I believe when way too many folks are determined they can't wait for the process in a normal time frame and start calling hoping every little phone call will create a miracle when most info is clearly posted about processing. We all have urgency when it comes to togetherness with our loved ones. Since my wife and I started our process I have tried to use restraint even though it is hard at times. You are right though those people problably are doing what is most in their limitations of resources just to feed their families and make a decent life.
I think too much calling when totally unecessary really just gums up the works.

I have been working with a non-profit agency that help individuals with immigration matters, for several of years now.
I have seen on this website many let downs about the NCSC, I happen to call them several of times a month. Things that you should know and take into prospective is as followed.
Verify address? They don't have access to your personal information, don't even bother.
Case status? They don't have anymore access to your case then what you have already been given. You should try looking at the case status, and processing times since thats what they seem to do. After it has been over the estimated processing time, then maybe you should call.
Filling out forms? They can't help you do this either, #1 you are paying for the form. #2 they would be legally obligated to you if they help you fill out the form. #3 If the form is denied or reject for any reason you could always have the right to sue the individual that helped you. #4 The toll free number would be over populated and have long call wait times, you wouldn't want that would you?
Interview Schedule? They don't have access to that either, but again once your case has went outside of the estimated processing time, then maybe you should call.
The reason for this post, is for many people is what they should take into prospective before calling. Did you know the NCSC takes around 24,000 calls a day? Did you also know that this is human beings working for them? They try to help you the best they can, but its not as simple as you think, USCIS does not provide the 1st person you speak to with enough information to likely make you happy, I assume they are given script information that they have to read from. I do feel sorry for them, I can't imagine doing their job could you? However, this is their job. The job that feeds their family, pays their bills, and feeds them. If you had all of this on the line, wouldn't you be sticking to your guns and reading directly from your script? Try patience and respect it can get you a long ways in life. I wanna see how this post effect some people, and hear opinions. Hit reply now.

That five months can be wishful thinking for some also. As in the cases where RFE are asked for and you are informed after they recieve it you will get an answer within 65 days and after no answer you call requesting info and they tell you to wait another 45 days after giving you a referrence no. and after that 45 days is done you may get an answer about your case. Good luck.

My wife worked in Dubai before and the UAE won't issue police certificates unless the person is living there. The NVC only requested certificates from Macau and Hong Kong from her.
Sounds like that 'nonofficial payment' means you have to grease somebodys hand as in 'nonstandard in nature' implies.

Thanks meb5! Yep, that is the mysterious letter from NVC I'd been hearing about, but could never really identify. So, I think I get it now...NVC will send you a letter since you didn't include the HK police certificate that has your wife's name on it and requests you provide the certificate? You just send that to the HK police with your package? I assume it's not an RFE then, since they've traveled this road before and just seem to know, based on the info in your form, that you will need this letter.
BTW, how did you get the draft to pay the fee in HK dollars that can be drawn on an HK bank? That's another head scratcher for me.
Thanks again for info!
Hi Magdasal,
My wife went to her bank BPI and had them make one up for her but it took them about 3 hours I think. She had to leave and go back and pick it up.
Wish you luck friend.

Our attorney just sent our documents to the NVC without the police certificate for Hong Kong and when the NVC sent the letter saying we needed the certificate. We used the request from NVC as he official letter. Hong Kong just sent my wife the receipt for the payment and the certificate should be at the embassy in about a week now.
