    Visa received!

    Sachiko dropped her passport and Canadian police certificate at the embassy on Monday and they called Tuesday morning to let her know her visa will be ready in the afternoon. :-)

    Sachiko went to Toronto and got her Canadian police certificate in a week. On Monday she's going back to the embassy and we hope this will be the end!

    The embassy says Sachiko's Police report for Canada isn't the right one (with fingerprints), they will check with DHS but it appears that we will need to get the right one which may take several months...

      NVC should have issued an RFE. I called them to ask what certificate she was supposed to have but all they said was "we accepted it, now it's up to the embassy, you need to see with them"...

    Got the embassy interview moved to this Thursday! :-)

      The embassy contacted Sachiko telling her they need to reschedule to Tursday next week (from Tuesday). She asked if it could be moved to this Thursday instead and they said yes.

    Just called NVC and was told our interview date is set for October 5th at 2pm!! This is absolutely GRAND!!

    Wow, how did you get through the NVC process so fast? My I-130 was approved on 06/30, just a day after yours apparently and NVC just received my file yesterday. I don't understand how you already got an interview date. Do you mind sharing?
