  1. Hi everyone! I tried find an answer to my question, but didn't really find a clear one. So, here it is. I've received my Greencard about a month ago. I have received my EAD like 2 months ago. Before that, i got my SS card in my married name and it states ''not valid for work without DHS authorization". Can i use my SS card when applying for a job or do i have to change it so that it doesn't state anymore "not valid for work without DHS authorization" since i've already received my EAD and greencard? how does this work? i'm a little bit confused! I appreciate your help!

  2. Hello!

I'm now trying to get my Adjustment of status done! i have a question about G325a form. Does "file number A" refer to Alien number or what? :)I would really appreciate any help related to this! Also, do I need a social security number to apply for AOS? Last week i applied for social security card but it's gonna take another 3 weeks to get it, i think! I hope someone will let me know how it works! Thanks! :)

  3. Thank you all for your help!:) so, it seems like what i read was old news! :D That's fine! Good luck to everyone on this journey! VeraVimes, thank you! :) Hope everything will go well when i get to Chicago! I hope there won't be any problems with POE! uh, i can't imagine how wonderful and peaceful it's going to feel when my soon-to-be hubby will hold me after a loooong trip and waiting! Fingers crossed for your interview and may God help you throught everything that's still to come! :)

  4. Hi everyone!:) On february 4 i'll get to Chicago to my loved one! I'm sooooooooo very excited and i can't wait to hold him after 5 long months! (L) we're finally getting close to be together! Um, the question i have though is related to the Port of Entry stuff!:) I remember i read some time ago somewhere on visajourney that K1 visa holders can ask for work authorization or something like that at the time of POE? i'm not sure that's exactly what i read and i tried looking for more information. Please, if anyone knows more about it, let me know! I will really appreciate it! :D Um, i wish you all to be reunited with the ones you love as soon as possible! Nothing is more peaceful and wonderful than being close to the person you'll share the rest of your life with!

  5. Thank you JimVaPhuong! Indeed, Bucharest-Romania is not known to be a tough consulate. I'm confident about the interview..we have everything set related to all the required evidence and i feel like everything will go smoothly! However, i think we'll pay extra money so that we can reschedule the flight in case the visa printing machine brakes down or who knows what :D So, the interviewer won't think it's suspicious the fact that we got the ticket prior to the interview! That was my main concern! :)

  6. Thank you!:) the US embassy in Bucharest issues the visa the same day of the interview!:) I don't think that will be a problem!:) i'm just a little bit concerned about what the person who will interview me would say if i mentioned that we got a plane ticket prior to the interview (of course, that's in case they ask me about any travel arrangements :D) I read about 'DO NOT make any travel arrangements before the visa is issued'' and so on...Are they saying that only because in case the visa is not issued, the applicant will lose the money paid for the plane ticket?..or is there some other reason why they say that? :)

  7. Hello fellow vj'ers! :D Um, i have an interview date set for January 27 at the US embassy in Bucharest, Romania!:) from what i read over here and heard from people, it's a relatively easy consulate and i don't think there will be any problems with our interview and the outcome of it! :) we have prepared everything related to documents, evidence, Affidavit of Support..we organized them as best and efficient as we could. Neither me nor my fiancé have been married before, filled any other petition. no children involved..he came to visit me in May 2010 and September 2010 more than 2 weeks each time and we can't wait to be able to marry and start our life together. I am optimistic about the interview and i'll be honest about everything they want to know. that's the best strategy, i think. My fiancé wants to buy the plane ticket for me as soon as possible and he mentioned getting a plane ticket for February 4. My question is, did any of you who went through this kind of interview get a plane ticket before the visa was issued? Would that be a problem for us if we choose to do that? We want to be together as soon as possible after the interview, but somehow we're trying not to pay a loooot of money for the plane ticket. Those of you willing to help, please do! :) Thank you!

  8. Yes, jkelly07, i looked at the example forms. But in that case, the person answered Yes to question 32 and wrote the name of the employer because she/he had information about the future employer. For question 33, on the example form the answer is simply No because..there was no intention on studying in the US. In my case, I intend to do both...work and study in the US..i just don't have name and complete adress of future US employer and school since at this point i don't know where i'm going to get a job or study. So, i'm confused about what i should write there. I might simply write ''not known yet'' Ugh...so sick of forms! :D Thank you!

  9. Hello everyone!Um, i looked over some of the topics over here...found out some things, but i still want to ask for your opinions! :)

On DS-156 form, questions 32 (Do you intend to work in the US?) and question 33 (Do you intend to study in the US?) I marked the answer ''Yes'' for both questions. Since I don't know yet the name of the future employer nor the name and adress of the school/college i'm going to study at (at some point in the future) is it ok to just not write anything in that space or should I write ''not known yet''? what should i fill out there?:) I emailed the USembassy in Bucharest today, but i'll only get an answer to this tomorrow, i think! If someone over here can help me out a little bit before i get the answer, i would really appreciate it! Thank you guys! :D

  10. Hello!

Multumesc mult! :)

    my mistake! 3 clinici..sorry!

  11. @love is patient, multumesc!:) si eu tind sa cred ca dosarul e la ei deja doar ca nu e introdus electronic in baza de date. Cand logodnicul meu a sunat la NVC sapt trecuta, a vorbit cu 2 persoane acolo si i s-a spus ca uneori poate dura pana la 2 saptamani pana cand dosarul va fi introdus in baza de date a ambasadei respective.Totusi, azi e 13 decembrie...si inca nimic despre dosarul nostru. How much longer? Waiting, waiting..and waiting!

  12. I have a question again! :)

Astept vreun raspuns, doua, trei etc. :D Thank you!
