  1. Same here, my hubby got a text message on his phone on 28th of March that they have received our case.

But for some reason, when we check our status online, our PD date is shown as 1st of April.

That's why we are following march and april both topics.

Hubby called last week asking for an update. All the told him was to wait for a bit longer.

if our process doesn't move forward by end of this month, I'm going to quit my job and move to the US to be with him.

Too tired of waiting not knowing anything about our future!

  2. I feel for all of those hopping on this train now and I am very happy for those approved after waiting months upon months and are now moving on with their lives.. I don't have much time though for those that don't seem to have good intent in what they're saying and although they like to pretend to,have no idea what most of us have to go through.

As you perfectly said the fact that we've found our soulmates is what matters in the end. We are all very lucky. But after saying goodbye to my husband for the 7th time in the past 3 years yesterday I can't help but feel a bit hopeless when I see people pretending to know what it's like especially when I probably won't see him for the next 6-7 months.

I'm here for everyone that wants someone to talk to when things get hard.We are all in this together.

I wish good luck to everyone.

I agree...It's hard to say good bye to your loved ones not knowing when you get to see him/her next time.

Not having any solid plans for our near future irks me too.

We definitely doing holidays together and wanna get my tickets right away before they get too expensive, but what if our case gets approved BEFORE the holidays..? Tickets will be wasted..Just not able to plan your immediet future sucks big time.

Just out of curiosity, I checked USCIS case status search with numbers that are close to mine.

EVERYONE around my number is approved, and we are the only ones that's not been approved.

I suggest everyone not to do this because this will just get you depressed even more..lol

SO sick and tired of this waiting game.

  4. Hello Fellow Japan file-ers:

My (Japanese) Husband and I are just starting the process.

We are currently at the get everything ready for the I-130 level,

Can anyone tell me if the "Kon-in-Todoke Juri Shomeshou"

    is proper proof of marriage?

We didn't change his honseki when we got married, so if we need anything more than this we have to go through his parents city hall on the other side of the country... -_-

Also, what are some of the Japanese forms you wish you had gotten early on?

And, have you ever made a bank account with both of your names on it? My husband seems to think it is impossible in Japan.

What were some of the sucessful things you used to provide proof of being in a real marriage?

    よろしくお願いします!

    Hi The suzukis :)

    >>>And, have you ever made a bank account with both of your names on it?

    > no this is not possible in japan, as in like join account right?

My husband and I tried to do it as well, but all the banks said no. Some of them said "Due to some security reasons" ......?? not too sure why.

As long as it's on your city record that you two lived under the same address, it usually works as a proof.

    Hope this helps :)

  5. If I'm not wrong, it'll most likely cause a RFE, God forbid, as it is I believe one of the requirements for supporting documents. Or it could make the process longer.

When did you file and which service center is processing it?

    Hi fmizan

We filed it at the end of March. In the listing, PHOTOS weren't listed,,, :( so I thought I just needed to bring it to the interview at the embassy.

The center is Lincolon. Maybe I should call to see if we can send in the photos?
