I entered on a fiancee visa and adjusted status. I have just discovered that my GC code is incorrect (IR0 not CR1) and the GC should have only been valid for 2 years (I thought I just filed a I-751 90 days prior to the two anniversary of GC issue, rather than the GC expiring after two years), and as such am filing an I-90 (reason D) to get it corrected.
Based on my GC anniversary date, I am due to file to remove conditions in December 2010; current processing times for I-90s are taking 3.5 months (as per USCIS website), with stories on VJ suggesting 6months + is not unusual. As such, can I still file my I-751 to remove conditions if my corrected GC has yet to arrive? I know I have to attach a copy of the GC to the application, so if I am attaching a copy of the old, incorrect GC, will that be a problem.
